You're invited to a unique and compelling employee volunteer day with The Painted Turtle! Since 2004, this innovative nonprofit has provided empowering and life-changing camp experiences to over 53,000 children with serious medical conditions and their families.Volunteers will help prepare our 174-acre site for the arrival of campers and families and partake in a remarkable team-building experience. This day is open to existing partners who make an impact on the mission of camp, as well as companies and groups local to the Antelope Valley interested in creating a partnership.
Teams of volunteers will work for approximately 3 hours. Volunteer tasks include housekeeping, landscaping, turtle pillow stuffing, organizing program areas, and much more. The majority of projects will be outside or cleaning buildings, where help is needed most. We offer camp tours and provide a light breakfast, lunch, and drinks, so we request a $10 donation per employee to cover food expenses. In the interest of both safety and productivity for the day, any children in attendance must be at least 10 years of age.
When: Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 9:00am -1:00pm
Where: 17000 Elizabeth Lake Road, Lake Hughes, CA 93532
