Pop-up Tax Clinic with Service Canada and Canada Revenue Agency:Support your community by volunteering at a pop-up tax clinic hosted by Family Services of Greater Vancouver in partnership with Service Canada and Canada Revenue Agency. Assist attendees upon their arrival in accessing the appropriate government services, answering questions, and directing them to the right resources, along with helping to administer a feedback survey. The event helps bridge the gap between community members and essential government services. Many people face barriers such as language, technology, or lack of awareness when trying to access benefits, file taxes, or apply for their SIN. As a volunteer, you play a key role in making these services more accessible and inclusive, especially for vulnerable or underserved populations. It’s also a meaningful opportunity to build your skills, gain insight into public service, and make a tangible impact in your community. A great chance to make a difference and gain valuable experience! Second languages welcome, as well as a desire to assist vulnerable populations. If you already have experience as a CVITP volunteer, that would be an asset, but it is not required. Volunteer shifts are from 10:00am - 1:00pm or 12:00pm - 3:00pm.
