Village Connections volunteers each work directly with one or two members who rely on extra support to remain active community members. They visit regularly with their assigned member and carry out needed tasks, like reading mail, going shopping, reducing household clutter, helping with phone calls or managing email. In addition to the usual volunteer background check and training, Village Connections volunteers receive quarterly training related aging and care issues and maintain communication with CHV staff for support, and guidance. This is a great opportunity to build a deeper relationship with a local senior and give back in a more regular, committed way.
