Horseback Eggstravaganza will be 4 different days of the public visiting Lily Creek Farms and riding horses to collect easter eggs through our activity trail. We will also have Volunteers who sign up to be walker must be 16 years or older and physically strong enough to lift a child and walk for 2+ hours.
Volunteer Information
Volunteers need to plan to arrive early to be shuttled to the location from Tinora.

All other volunteers will be placed where needed fitting helmets, taking tickets, registration, egg activities, stick horse games, food booth, carriage help or photo booth.

Volunteers can help the entire day and multiple days if desired! Horse & Carriage rides, stick horse games, photo booth, and food available. This event requires us to have 45 volunteers for each day! We need your help!

Opportunity Details

We are hosting an free event for our families. This will give them the opportunity for a day out and they will be able to spend the day with other families they have things in common with. We are looking for volunteers to help us check families in, help with activities and possibly take pictures.

Our program was established to enhance the lives of disabled children. Recreational use of adaptive tricycles brings many rewards. It builds self-esteem and confidence, provides stress relief, increases social skills, strengthens weak muscles and stretches tight ones, and increases balance and gross motor skills. Owning a tricycle helps physically and cognitively challenged children become more independent and gives them the ability to socialize with typical children in their neighborhood. It gives them an outlet to be just like the other kids!

The Unicorn Centers’ Day Activity program provides our customers with an active, vibrant day program. Our team works closely with our clients - adults with ID (intellectual disabilities - formerly mental retardation) to be included in a community-based environment where we help them learn, improve and retain the life skills that are necessary to live and participate successfully in home and community life.

Volunteers must be over 18 years old.

Volunteer with the Unicorn Centers' Day Activity Program for an afternoon of Bingo. Volunteers are needed to call Bingo and assist clients in checking their Bingo Cards. Have fun helping the Unicorn Clients recognize their letters and numbers.

The Unicorn Centers’ Day Activity program provides our customers with an active, vibrant day program. Our team works closely with our clients - adults with ID (intellectual disabilities - formerly mental retardation) to be included in a community-based environment where we help them learn, improve and retain the life skills that are necessary to live and participate successfully in home and community life.
