Each year, over 160 Rainier Scholars attend colleges and universities all over the country. Volunteering to purchase and build care packages is a tangible way to support a scholar on the pathway to college graduation. Our goal is for each student to receive a care package from home, whether they are attending a local school or living across the country. We are seeking local companies to prepare packages that we will send out in November. This is a great TEAM-BUILDING activity, and it can be done at YOUR OFFICE! Companies can create packages for 5-10 scholars. We provide you with a suggested packing list and bios of your scholars; you purchase the items and assemble them with your team. Contents don't have to be expensive to be meaningful but we do ask that they are personalized. Each package is around $50-$75 worth of items (including a $25-$50 gift card).
When packages are completed, you will drop them off at the Rainier Scholars office. Must confirm participation with care package manager and will be given detailed instructions on care package contents, packing, and drop-off.
Contact care package manager, Crysta Maniscalco, at cmaniscalco@rainierscholars.org or 206-838-6678.
