Can you organise a declutter drive in your office?We run pre-loved rails at the local nursery, our centre, one of the secondary schools and the local library.
Between these initiatives we place pre-loved still in good condition clothing and shoes for both adults, babies and children. We also take houseware, kitchenware, small electrical items, children toys and children books. And some stationery.
Can you run a declutter drive in your workplace and have it sent to us?
Please note we cannot pay for it to be picked up.

Refugio Rafael is a support facility in central Bolivia for indigenous and migrant mothers and their families.The Refugio provides: an after-school program, medical services, transitional housing, and an economic development/Fair Trade Artisan program. The partnership between Global Gallery and Refugio Rafael started in 2006, where the mothers handicrafts are sold. World Peaces has been the primary Fair Trade partner since 2011.
In March of 2024, Dr. De Jong is leading a service learning trip to Refugio Rafael. Members and groups of the community can travel to Bolivia to volunteer at the facility and learn about the culture. Volunteers will engage in:
- Homework help
- Supporting kids in daily activities
- Playing soccer and games
- Painting
- Fixer-upper tasks
- Gardening
The trip includes one tourist activity. Past activities were: the Uyuni Salt Flats, El Valle de La Luna, Lake Titcaca, and La Paz City Tours.
How much does the service learning trip cost? What is included in the cost?
$1300 plus airfare, visa, and yellow fever vaccine. Cost includes all in country transportation, meals, hotel, and water, as well as one touristy adventure. Does not include souvenirs or gifts.

Fundraise for Refugio Rafael with your family, friends, coworkers, parish, or community!You are able to fundraise in anyway you'd like via our project on the Global Giving platform. We encourage you to be creative and share it with anyone in your circle. Current fundraising efforts are supporting the after-school program.
Previous volunteers have sold the mothers handicrafts, gave presentations to organizations and classmates, and hosted events. We will assist in any way needed to make your fundraiser a success.

Specific Volunteer Roles & Their Purpose
1. Board Member (Volunteer)
Purpose: Our Board Members are crucial to GoSinergy Inc.'s strategic direction and governance. You will help shape our policies, oversee our operations, ensure financial stewardship, and advocate for our mission, enabling us to grow our impact and effectively serve marginalized communities. This role is ideal for experienced professionals passionate about guiding our vision.
2. Treasurer (Volunteer)
Purpose: The Volunteer Treasurer is essential for GoSinergy Inc.'s financial health and transparency. You will be responsible for managing our financial records, overseeing budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your expertise will directly support our ability to allocate resources effectively to our programs and services for youth and adults in marginalized communities.
3. Social Media Assistant (Volunteer)
Purpose: The Volunteer Social Media Assistant will play a key role in amplifying GoSinergy Inc.'s voice and mission across digital platforms. You will help create engaging content, manage our social media presence, and connect with our community, raising awareness about our programs and the critical issues we address. Your creativity will help us reach more youth and adults who can benefit from our support.
4. Digital Marketing Assistant (Google Ads) (Volunteer)
Purpose: The Volunteer Digital Marketing Assistant is vital for expanding GoSinergy Inc.'s online visibility and outreach. You will assist in developing, implementing, and optimizing Google Ads campaigns to attract new volunteers, donors, and program participants. Your skills will directly enable us to connect with more marginalized communities and raise essential support for our initiatives
Grant Writer (Volunteer):
Purpose: This role is critical for securing vital funding. You would research grant opportunities, write compelling proposals, and manage submissions, directly enabling us to expand our programs and services for marginalized youth and adults.
Fundraising Coordinator/Assistant (Volunteer):
Purpose: You will assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events, helping us generate the financial resources needed to sustain and grow our impact within the community.
Program Coordinator/Assistant (Volunteer):
Purpose: You would help organize and manage our programs, ensuring their smooth delivery and direct benefit to our participants. This could involve scheduling, logistics, and participant communication.
