At Good Shepherd Services, we understand that the cost of backpacks and school supplies can burden many children, youth, and families in New York City. As the new school year approaches, many families are facing the challenge of providing essential supplies for their children.Join us at our Back to School Bash and Bookbag Giveaway on Saturday 9th at JHS 292. Together we can lighten their load and ensure every student has a fresh start.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our partners and supporters, we were able to provide backpacks and supplies to 200 youth in Good Shepherds program and community members. This year, the need has increased, and we’re counting on your support to ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed in their education.
Our goal this year is to supply 380 students with brand-new backpacks filled with school supplies. And we need your help to make it happen!
By volunteering at our Back To School Bash, you’ll be giving children who attend the opportunity to focus on their studies and feel confident as they embark on the new school year.

Objective: The objective of the position is to spearhead the branding, marketing, and communication strategy of the Foundation, and ensure effective execution of the same to enhance visibility of the Foundation and its activities.The role will include creating relevant, engaging content and updating our social media channels and website. Both mainstream and digital media marketing and communication opportunities are to be explored.
Tasks:
• Support the development and implement the branding, marketing and communication strategy of the Foundation.
• Responsible for external and internal communications to various stakeholders and advocate on behalf of the charity.
• Responsible for branding for the organisation; and enhancing brand awareness

• Regularly keeping our social media channels and website up to date.

Manufacturing Day provides 500 Milwaukee area students with an interactive look at a variety of manufacturing careers and pathways. These events broaden perspectives beyond familiar jobs to get students excited about how their skills and interests can be used in the manufacturing workforce.
Through innovative STEM activities, panels, and industry presentations, Manufacturing Day aims to increase awareness of a variety of manufacturing related careers. This unique event showcases modern manufacturing with insights from industry leaders and professionals, connecting students to companies in the region that need STEM- qualified candidates.
Volunteers are needed to assist in group orientation upon arrival, guide groups and at select activity stations.

Riverfront Recapture's mission is to connect people with the Connecticut River. Access is through Riverfront's four parks along both banks of the Connecticut River in Hartford and East Hartford. Volunteer support in our parks is essential to keeping the parks beautiful and well-maintained. Projects range from weeding, mulching, planting, trimming, sweeping, painting, and more.This volunteer day will include a combination of weeding/tidying the circular garden bed and the day lily beds, with some day lily tuber plantings, at Charter Oak Landing, 50 Reserve Road, Hartford, CT.

Women Together Global works hard to empower women and girls in Malawi, and has amazing stories to tell about it's impact. Right now, all that footage is in raw form, but it is waiting to be turned into compelling short videos for use on websites and social media, and as a calling card for donors and grant opportunities. We need your help to take the beautiful imagery we have gathered and turn it into the visual stories that will honor the women and girls we work with and generate even more support for our work.
