TCY's Transitional Teens Care Packages provides FREE hygiene/non perishable items to teens transitioning into or out of foster care; into or out of the juvenile detention center or the child protective services foster care services.

During the month of January 2021 we provided over 60 care packages to all three departments along with Potomac Senior High School of Dumfries, VA.

Mentor or help teach coding and design at MEDA's low-income coding school in the Mission. PLEASE NOTE: This program runs under a hybrid model. Participants attend class in person 3 days a week and remotely twice a week.

The Mission Economic Development Agency's Workforce Development Program hosts a FREE 16-week IT Support Professional training program for low-income San Franciscans. Participants of the program are taking their first steps into the tech field and YOU have an opportunity to make a huge impact in helping them find their way.

Volunteers can expect: to be paired and mentor a student; participate as a teacher assistant; share their career trajectory and experience with the class as a guest speaker; help teach a component of the curriculum; or provide 1:1 assistance.

Opportunity Details

YCore, a social impact fellowship for young professionals, gives young professionals the opportunity use their talent and resources to support meaningful work in their community.

Over the course of four months, YCore fellows dedicate a few hours outside of work each week to complete a strategic project with a local nonprofit partner. They also attend workshops with their cohort to learn and apply skills like systems thinking and fundraising, all while building their network of like-minded changemakers.

Live Pura Vida is a non-profit organization that focuses on STEAM education for children, arts and history education for adults, and community empowerment in disadvantaged areas. We have recently received a grant and multiple opportunities to broaden our service and support of at-risk communities! As always, we want to continue to provide the excellent service that our brand is known for. To do that, we could use the help of an experienced project manager to help us finish the establishment of our back-office and help outline our Q1 and Q2 2021 projects.
