Common Sound Festival is a new community gathering by Dutchtown South Community Corporation that celebrates the diverse communities and cultures of the neighborhoods we serve:Dutchtown, Gravois Park, Marine Villa, and Mount Pleasant.
Containing some of the youngest and most populated areas in all of St. Louis, Dutchtown South Community Corporation requires help to expand, engage, and manage the planning, marketing, and implementation process of setting up the event taking place at the end of the summer.

Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. The JA Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser helps provides the funding needed for these programs. The day of the event, volunteers are needed to help distribute materials, event set up/take down, staff assistance, hand out prizes, bowler check-in, and with handing out prizes awarded during each shift.

RRRComputer.org distributes donated laptops to low income students to support their education and bridge the digital divide. We are looking for passionate individuals to help guide the direction of the organization. In particular, skills in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Information Technology, Fundraising, Grant Writing, Adwords Management and Finance would be valuable at this stage. Since 2013, USAA has been proud to partner with nationwide nonprofit American Corporate Partners (ACP) to engage business leaders as mentors to veterans making the transition from the military to the corporate workforce, as well as active duty military spouses.ACP is looking for new volunteer Mentors from USAA to join the 70+ employees who have already participated and made a significant impact on the career transitions of their veteran and military spouse Protégés.
About the volunteer opportunity:
- ACP Mentors are paired with Protégés in one-on-one yearlong mentorships
- Pairs are made based on a variety of factors including career expertise, age, and educational background
- Pairs meet for approximately 1 hour per month, mainly via phone or videoconference, to discuss topics like résumé review and interview techniques, professional networking, corporate culture, certifications, and other career development goals
- Each pair has a dedicated ACP staff member who checks in regularly to gauge progress, suggest conversation topics, and provide tailored support depending on individual goals

The Mooresville Teen Advisory Board "TAB" provides real leadership experience to positive, and energetic students (grades 8-12th). One of our main goals of the Teen Advisory Board is to promote library services to teens at the Mooresville Public Library. We wish to strengthen the library's ties between teens in the community by using their knowledge and creativity to create programs and further expand the library collection. TAB also gives Teens in our community and Iredell county a voice .We have several programs just for teens : Book Club, (Book to Movie) Adopt-A-Hwy (students earn community services hours for school and clubs; clean -up services).Teen Give Back "TGB" volunteering in the library once a week, Comic Book Day, National Poetry Day , MLK Day and Summer Reading just to name a few programs.
The Teen Advisory Board meets the First and Third Tuesdays in each month. The group has 12 members and Officers using the Robert's Rules Of Order to conduct our meeting. Some of our programs or projects are cut due Library's Budget. We are hoping with your help we can create a budget to help some of our programs/project off to a good start for the New Year 2019. At our meeting we have an Adult (Teen/YA Librarian) as our Advisor.
Our mission of "TAB" is to promote Mooresville Public Library's services to teens by teens: Planning and implementing teen programs, Creating an inviting atmosphere at the library by maintaining a safe, attractive teen area, promoting and encouraging reading by teens and advocating the rights of teens. Your grant could help" TAB" to bring programs to ALL teens in the Iredell County. We need adult volunteers to help with our Demo of Silent Disco.
