The Dream Maker is annual fundraising event for Amped. This event will take place on June 13, 2025, and will be held at Progress Park. Unlike previous years, this event will showcase all of our pillars of service not just the Music Academy. We will include Music Academy, Tech Training and the Business Incubator. The requirements are to participate in-person or virtually for monthly committee members and assisting in one or more area(s) such as decor, food vendor selection, silent auction selection, ticket sales and sponsorship solicitations.

Reality Rocks is a high school-level financial simulation that is held three times a year for over 600 students. In this program, businesses act as representatives of various life factors to help students learn about the realities of the adult financial world. Students are asked to budget a given amount for housing, food, daycare, insurance, and more. No experience is needed to participate in this amazing learning simulation for students.

The program description: A Christmas Giveaway Bash with care packages which include inspirational messages, nutritional dinner bags with the following: stuffing mix, cream of chicken soup, cranberry sauce, canned; corn and green beans, poultry and onion power seasoning and a gift card to purchase a turkey and beverages. We are excited to announce that Central Texas Food Bank will donate produce.

We are looking for passionate people to join our Board of Directors, that are ready to help guide our organization into a bright and sustainable future. As a board member, you will play a critical role in shaping our strategic direction, ensuring that we continue to innovate and inspire while staying true to our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
Help steer alt_Chicago by contributing to strategic oversight and decision-making.
Use your unique skills and networks to broaden our impact, bringing new opportunities and partners to our cause.
Provide prudent financial management and oversight to ensure we continue to thrive and grow.
Be an ambassador for alt_Chicago, advocating for our work and values in the wider community.
Engage deeply in bi-monthly board meetings, with a willingness to increase frequency if needed for robust governance.
Expectations/Commitment:
Dedicate approximately 5-10 hours per month to board duties.
Give/Get: Individually contribute or facilitate $2,500 in donations (inclusive of In Kind Donations) annually.
