We invite you to participate in learning how we take Action Against Hunger! This experience is scalable and designed to foster a deeper connection with our mission through interactive, educational activities. Whether you choose to host a group or have someone from our team facilitate, this event brings your colleagues together for impactful learning and engagement. Plus, we’ll provide prizes—bracelets made in the field—as a meaningful memento. Here’s how you can get involved:
Activity Station 1: Action Against Hunger Quiz
Kick off the day with a fun, interactive quiz about global nutrition and our life-saving work. This activity promotes meaningful conversations and educates participants on surprising facts and figures. With a live leaderboard, participants can engage in some friendly competition while learning about our mission.
This opportunity is scalable, and you can incorporate additional stations such as:
Activity Station 2: ‘Guess the Ingredients of a RUTF Bar’ Challenge
Experience the life-saving power of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) in this hands-on challenge. Participants will have the opportunity to feel an RUTF bar and guess the ingredients by placing their names in jars labeled with various options—some ingredients are featured in the bar, and some are not. It’s a fun way to learn about the simple, yet crucial, tools we use to combat severe acute malnutrition.
Activity Station 3: Learn About a MUAC Band
Discover how we identify malnutrition with a simple yet vital tool—the mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) band. Participants will learn how to use this tool and why it’s essential in our efforts to save lives by screening children and adults for malnutrition.
These activities can be completed together, fostering team camaraderie, or as quick individual stations that take as little as 15 minutes. Whether you participate in all stations or just one, this event offers flexible, impactful ways to engage with our mission. We ask that you provide the lunch, and we’ll bring the prizes.
Join us in these activities to raise awareness, educate, and learn how we support those most in need. Together, we can take meaningful action against hunger.
