Twende Solar is building a team of volunteers to help further our mission to achieve a world with sustainable energy for all. We are seeking dedicated ongoing volunteers to help with crucial operations roles. You will be instrumental in carrying our our mission and counted on for defined department deliverables. Most volunteer roles are an estimated 2-3 hours per week with a hope that you will be with us for 6+ months.

Qualified applicants do not need to reside in Portland, OR or USA but may be asked to remotely participate in meetings during Pacific Standard Time business hours.

Sheila and Nabor De Cuevas purchased their home in October right after having a baby! Now they are tackling a rehab project and Sheila has joined Acts Housing as an Office Coordinator. They love their new home and Sheila is excited to help other families become homeowners!

Work needed:
The De Cuevas home has old linoleum flooring that needs to be scraped off and walls that need to be prepped for painting. The home is not heated so volunteers should wear layers and gloves.

The organization pairs business professionals with mentees who are unemployed/underemployed in order to provide them with the skills, resources and access to networks that they need to secure and maintain employment.


Structure/Responsibilities:
- 6 structured meetings on topics such as: goal setting, resumes, interview prep and networking

We have an emergency overnight homeless shelter, soup kitchen, food pantry, clothing room, social work services, transportation, and emergency financial assistance. We also have a large warehouse that takes in donated furniture and housewares which are given out to individuals and families in need. Unlimited volunteer opportunities including food service, laundry room, reception, guest services, transportation, data entry, cleaning, etc.

The Waukesha County Fair is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that impacts the lives of nearly 123,000 fairgoers in just 5 days! The Fair is run by a 15 member volunteer Board of Directors that help make the decisions to continue to sustain this event into the future. The Waukesha County Fair is proud of being the oldest county Fair in the state and the largest event held in Waukesha County. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help us facilitate different facets of the Fair, specifically in our set-up, face-to-face exhibitor judging, clerking, and more!
We would welcome any volunteers Monday, July 13th, Tuesday, July 14th, and Wednesday, July 15th to help with many of the exhibit and judging areas. The time frame is from Noon to 7pm on any of the given days. There would be direct interaction in a team environment with exposure to the public, exhibitors of all ages, and judges to help make it all come together.
