Come join the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County (CAASTLC) at our informational and FUN event March 31st, the Saturday before Easter!
We will be at the St. Ann Community Center along with over 50 vendors. There will be free health screenings, workshops, enrollment information/appointments, raffles, and an opportunities to win gift cardS! As a local non-profit organization, any volunteers residing in St. Louis County would benefit from learning about CAASTLC's many services they offer to help folks manage conditions surrounding poverty.

Volunteer are needed on a daily basis beginning April 4th to inform our guest of the exhibit content. The volunteer role hear is called "Lobby Greeter". The responsibility will be to have coverage to greet guest who are entering the area and address questions regarding the exhibit. Our Manager of the Visitor Experience will make sure the knowledge and background of the exhibit is shared with our volunteers. On April 6th their will be an official opening ceremony of the exhibit where you will meet the artist behind the exhibit content. Please see snippet below:
In collaboration with Savannah College of Art & Design professors Michael O'Brien, Sandra Phipps, and V. Elizabeth Turk, the exhibit is an opportunity to experience diverse student voices and opinions on this topic –to let their voices be heard and influence thousands of museum visitors. The themes of their work range from the political to the biographical to unsung stories of Atlanta history.

Responsibilities

· Oversee budgets and financial spending of fiscal clients

· Prepare and maintain financial reports and documents

· Provides information to the Board of Directors based on findings, analyses and recommendations

· Maintain accurate QuickBooks files

· Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data

· Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state and local requirements

· Assists with special financial projects as requested

Qualifications

· Basic accounting principles

· QuickBooks knowledge

· Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written)

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

· Strong attention to detail and time management

Time Commitment

This position requires a commitment of 2-3 hours per week . We offer a lot of flexibility in when and how you complete those hours and many of the tasks and responsibilities can be done remotely, working online, at a time that is convenient for you. Attend a monthly board meeting (lunch and parking included).

Compensation

This is a volunteer position. There will be no financial compensation. Our organization is ran 100% volunteer

Louisiana International Film Festival is a non profit organization that brings film, art, culture, and education to Baton Rouge. This four day festival begins April 19 and runs until April 22. Volunteers are needed immediately from now until April 23. You can volunteer for as little as one four hour shift all the up to making this your sole free time passion.

The mentorship programs are free and open to everyone. Through these, you get to go behind the scenes of all aspects of movie making. Hear from producers, casting directors, agents, etc. and learn about the exciting world of film.
