Help unemployed/underemployed job seekers create and/or update their resume so they can start seeking employment. For job seekers that have no resume, we give them a resume worksheet that we use to create their resume. For those that have a resume, we have them send the resume electronically, or retype the hard copy if the electronic version is not available.

Most resumes are created using the simple resume format, chronological and functional (for people with spotted work history). Our job seekers sometimes have little or no work experience, and our job search strategy is to place them into entry level employment (enabling them to make money now) as they prepare for living wage employment.

We will collect the resume or resume worksheet scan and email the document to you.

Volunteer's Responsibilities:

1. You will make direct contact with the job seeker to get information you will need to complete the task, clarification of duties, confirm dates, verify contact information, etc.

2. Once the resume is completed, send to the participant and send a copy to us for our records, info@pivotsac.org

3. Send status and updates for resumes you cannot complete within a week.
