Are you looking for a fun and inspiring volunteer opportunity? If so, Junior Achievement (JA) is here to help. We offer flexible volunteer opportunities at local elementary schools to suit your schedule. We can help you fulfill any volunteer requirements hours you may have.Volunteering with JA involves visiting a classroom five times to present five lessons. Depending on the program or grade level you are teaching, each visit will last between 30 to 45 minutes. As a volunteer, you'll receive a teaching kit with activities and materials and a comprehensive 30-minute training session to ensure you are fully prepared.
Volunteering with JA is an excellent way to give back to the community and positively impact students, and it's FUN!

Chaithanya Mahila Mandali trains over 600 women from Hyderabad and surrounding areas in Garment making skills to ensure they are self-sufficient and able to generate income that will help the family come out of poverty and hunger. CMM decided to enhance their skills in financial literacy so that the income they start generating will be carefully saved and spent to have a life with economic independence and grow year after year with motivated entrepreneurs; thus, it helps the family and society. We are currently seeking a volunteer mid/senior C developer to assist with the deployment of our embedded device. We have a fantastic team of experts in machine learning and species conservation, and we would love to add a software engineer to support the development of our embedded system.
This will involve:
Assisting us in developing the firmware to enable all of our hardware components to communicate
Developing embedded software for image processing and optimization within the Wildlife Watcher camera, prioritizing low power consumption
Documenting and reviewing version controlled software updates

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, PDDBM will host its annual Black History Month Fashion Show from 9 AM to 6 PM. This event celebrates the contributions of African Americans to the U.S. fashion industry since the 1860s and highlights young, emerging designers from PDDBM’s Fashion Design Afterschool Program. 10 Middle and high school students will showcase their work for the first time, demonstrating their creativity, talent, and dedication.These young designers bring fresh perspectives and unique designs, which will be available for purchase immediately following the show. Additional highlights include a West African Tribal Hairstyle Exhibit, a Silent Auction, a Mini African American Fashion Designer Museum, and an authentic West African plated meal.

On each board, they list out every single item the model will wear for the look, specific styling instructions, and any additional notes. These mini boards are placed strategically on racks with their corresponding looks backstage for dressers to reference when dressing their model.

Your Role
Program Facilitators will join a class in-person to deliver one of JA’s programs, by using a mix of hands-on activities, discussions, and digital learning to engage students. JA will provide all lesson plans and materials for a fun and engaging day of learning supported by the classroom teacher. With your help, students can gain the knowledge and confidence they need to define their personal success and go after their dreams.
Qualifications
o Must be 18 years or older
o Must be available for interview and complete all screening requirements
o Confident presenting to and working with young people
o Strong communication skills
o No specific background or expertise required; most important is the desire to help students achieve their highest potential

Prior to joining a class, you will receive a 1-hour program training session, available in person or online (program dependent), which includes:

o Overview of the program activities and lessons

As a charity Action Change has over 80 projects around the world and all our programs are focused on working directly with community members. These community members are driven and passionate individuals and often with some education however they are not experienced in finance, marketing, strategy and fundraising strategies along with they are unaware of the developed world corporate environment.We are looking for a number of professional volunteers to help mentor our community projects and team remotely, meeting through Video Call, WhatsApp and Email around 3-5 hours a month.
Before starting you will meet with our CEO and partner team to discuss what skills you can assist with and we will match you with a project that relates to you either conservation (planet) or community (people), you will be given training before meeting and then we will introduce you to the team in the field and you can together build an action plan of assistance you can and will provide them.
We are working towards making every project self sustainable and the biggest part of this is skills training and mentorship, if you are interested in getting involved please connect with us.
Most mentorships last from 3,6 or 12 months for 3-5 hours a month, this is flexible and can be decided before connecting with the project and community.
