Examples of previous workshops include: using LinkedIn effectively, emotional intelligence, effective team meetings, critical thinking, Agile project management, public speaking, dealing with conflict. Participants are particularly interested in accessing jobs related to IT Technician, ICT, communications, Health Sciences and Federal government so workshops relevant to accessing those fields would be welcomed as well.

Sickle Cell Disease is a rare, painful, genetic, blood condition that affects people of tropical and African decent. The SCBC is committed to educating and advocating for these individuals, their families and their healthcare providers.

Fundraising is vital to any not-for-profit organization. Here at the Sickle Cell Association of BC (SCBC) fundraising is what keeps our organization running, so that we can help to advocate for those with Sickle Cell Disease. Everyone in the organization has been touched somehow by this painful genetic disease.

We need volunteers to help us set up and run more online fundraising opportunities. Crowd funding, finding grants we are eligible for, and other forms of fundraising are vital. This would be an ongoing 4 hours a week project that you can do from the comfort of your home. The SCBC tries to keep our organization as portable, flexible, as online as possible, so that those with health issues, kids or busy schedules can participate in our organizations activities as easily as possible.

We invite employees in France to support our partners at WEConnect International, a non-profit that helps women-owned businesses succeed in global value chains by helping educate, certify and connect them with qualified buyers around the world.

Building on the success of last year’s global Financing Your Growing Business Boot Camps, a free expert-level training program, Moody’s volunteers will have the opportunity to facilitate half-day sessions or deliver training on a specific topic of their choice.

Subject Matter Expert Volunteers
Volunteers will act as subject matter experts and deliver a training session on one of the topics below. The curriculum materials will be provided by WEConnect International and the volunteer will be expected to review materials ahead of time, work with WEConnect International to customize the materials if needed, attend an orientation meeting and then present the curriculum and run the training activity included in the curriculum. Given current events, there is a need to factor in the impact of COVID-19 across the training topics. Each training session is expected to run during the below times and will be presented in French. Although not likely, times may change if additional curriculum edits are needed between now and the event date to remain timely and relevant.
