Help us create impact for 225 Black and Brown social impact founders, and the 90,000 people they'll help over the next 2 years!

We're Represented Foundation. We're a Brooklyn, NY - based nonprofit on a mission to close the diversity gap in social impact leadership. Right now we're seeking some incredible people! We're looking for Marketing, IT, User Experience and Product Management experts who want to make a difference by enhancing our Community Portal on our website for a very special purpose.

One of our core initiatives at Represented Foundation is Service Groups; -- where we pair teams of high-skilled volunteer consultants with Black and Brown social impact leaders, for short-term, collaborative, community-based engagement projects. (Projects are in different areas including business development, marketing/communications and financial operations for typically six-week periods.)

We've implemented Service Groups twice before, each time using a manual matching system for volunteers and entrepreneurs. To increase impact, scale the opportunity and help more Black and Brown social impact founders get exactly the support they need, first we need to find an online solution that allows both types of participants to either vote for, or self-select their projects or volunteers.

We're asking for the right UX, Marketing, Sales or tech-based volunteers to:

- map and design the volunteer / entrepreneur user experiences
- find the best software add-ons or compatible software solutions for our community portal
- build out our 'Service Groups' profile matching page
- provide landscape research on similar volunteer engagement platforms
- review and enhance our sales strategy for corporate partners

As a nonprofit, our mission at Represented Foundation is to close the diversity gap in Social Impact Leadership. We want to see racial parity achieved among our leaders, leading to better solutions and healthier communities for everyone. By the year 2043 when people of color are half of the US population, we want to see half of social impact leaders be people of color as well.

BACKGROUND
ChatterBox Theatre Society has been dedicated to delivering a meaningful theatrical experience to young audiences through interaction and humour. We aim to teach children positive values and offer them support in all stages of their development. In addition, we strive to build a stronger community by encouraging public engagement and dialogue, while nurturing and promoting our local artists.

WHAT DO WE DO?
ChatterBox Theatre provides positive and interactive theatrical experiences for children in the community. Our purpose is not only to create unique and enjoyable productions, but also teach children concepts of feelings and how they influence the world around them.
Apart from the education and entertainment of our unique plays, we also offer support for the local artistic community by creating development opportunities for young performers. We also help connect the public with emerging artists, offering space for exhibitions and periodic events.

WHY SHOULD YOU VOLUNTEER WITH US?
ChatterBox Theatre Society is a “grass roots” non-profit organization about to embark on a period of significant growth, and we need your passion and expertise in shaping that for the future! During this period of rapid growth, we want to maintain a strong and consistent focus on the children, performers, and theatrical staff. Our volunteers are very committed to and passionate about the work at ChatterBox Theatre Society, as well as ensuring the successful outcomes of their programs.
Serving South Calgary and Okotoks regions, we offer flexible volunteer work arrangements with online/virtual options available. Upon successful completion of the volunteer role or project, you can use us as a reference or obtain a letter of reference for your future roles. Volunteer hours may also be used for maintaining your professional designation and/or program studies, which can be verified by your respective professional association or educational institution.
We focus on values like family, friendship, teamwork, and trust. We lead by example, so we need to be what we want our children to become. More than performers and theatrical staff, we are a family. We welcome the children of our community into our theatre—our home—to be active members of our organization, teaching them positive values and letting them know they belong within our society. If your values align with ours and you want to be part of this exciting organization, please apply today so that we can understand how your passion and expertise can make a positive impact in the community!

*** About The Learning Partnership's Investigate! Invent! Innovate! (I3) and the National Invention Convention presented by Spin Master ***

This year, 23,000 Grade 1 to 8 students from across Canada are participating in The Learning Partnership’s Investigate! Invent! Innovate! (I3) program. In the spring, I3 students are invited to showcase their innovative projects -- prototypes, apps, business plans, and more! -- at the virtual National Invention Convention presented by Spin Master.

Numerous TLP corporate partners -- including Spin Master (Lead National I3 Partner, NIC Presenting Sponsor) and CIBC (I3 National Partner: Inclusive Innovation) -- are helping celebrate the achievements of these inspiring young innovators while connecting them to adult mentors who provide real-world, constructive feedback and bridge their in-class learning to the world of work.

In the words of Inventor Mentors in 2021:

“It left me hopeful about our world's future. The participants were like a touchstone to see what the next generation of makers and doers will be. If this group is a fair representation we are in good hands.”

“The young innovators certainly impress! Can only imagine how they will contribute once they are in the workforce.”

“Very impressed with the submissions. There were some laugh out loud moments…I feel much more positive now about our future than I did going into this.”

“Everyone's having so much fun doing this activity! They love how much effort the students are putting in. There are some truly innovative solutions in there.”
