Make a difference to someone's life now and mentor one of Aidha's students. Aidha's students work as foreign domestic workers in Singapore and typically send most of their money home. They then return home with hardly any savings. Our programs aim to provide them with the necessary financial knowledge and skills to set up their own businesses and create a sustainable future for themselves and their community back home.

We all have a need for insight that is outside of our normal life and educational experience. The power of mentoring is that it creates a one-of-a-kind opportunity for collaboration, problem solving, and goal achievement.Created by a group of community leaders from Frederick, Maryland, Woman to Woman Mentoring (W2WM) is a local 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to cultivate mentoring relationships that provide women with guidance, support, and community connections.
Through its programming, W2WM strives to strengthen, enrich, and empower women by offering access to one-on-one mentoring relationships, group peer mentoring circles, social enterprise experiences, and community connections.
We are always accepting applications for volunteer mentors, who will work one-on-one with a specifically matched mentee for a six to ten months. This includes attending workshops one or twice per month and approximately 2-4 hours per month checking in with your mentee as needed.

The funding will enhance our Literacy Program by implementing technological literacy across the preschool curriculum. Moreover, the funding will help lessen the difficulty of (130) underprivileged students from Paterson to overcome the transition from pre-kindergarten to high school. Since we now have two sites, our Literacy Enrichment Program for the summer and after-school program have double the capacity. Please note that the Literacy Enrichment Program is an integral part of Gilmore Memorial Preschool's ability to reach children from underserved and low-income communities. Therefore, to be a recipient of the Fund for the Fall of 2017 will allow us to enhance our preschool program by providing a unique and innovative approach to learning through the infusion of language arts and technological literacy. And most importantly, we will be able to serve and educate disadvantaged children within the City of Paterson.
