From TRASH to TREASURE – Use your imagination and creativity to make a toy(s) using items typically considered as trash such as paper, plastics, bottle tops, cardboard, and left over string. In so many communities where ChildFund works, money and resources are tight. Some children and families struggle with having basic needs met. Food, shelter, school uniforms and other necessities are a priority, leaving little for wants. This activity encourages using limited materials, to create a toy and helps us better understand what play is like for many children in our programs.
For groups of 10 people and larger: Join a virtual Lunch & Learn, hear from a ChildFund representative about our programs, and make a toy together.
This activity is great for children and families, work teams, friends, schools, youth and civic groups.
