Volunteer Mission to deliver furniture to formerly homeless US Veterans throughout NYC or the Hudson Valley Region. Every once in a while, choose to make a difference with us.My Brother Vinny provides furniture, housewares/home goods to formerly homeless US Veterans. This is not a simple sentence or easy task. This requires constant, tireless dedication & support from an organization that is 100% volunteer. The area we covered was not figured out. MBV without a plan in place formed an organization that is now the "Primary" resource for US Veterans starting. Because we believe our Veterans deserve to have a home that is their sanctuary. A place to rest at night in peace that has all the basic life essentials needed to start over.
Our veterans could have spent the last few years of their lives being homeless, struggling with depression, PTSD issues or a myriad of other issues that led them to seek support. This sobering reminder of how hard life is for them is the burden we lift by providing them with hope!
We continue to be the primary resource combating veteran homelessness in our area of service providing them with life essentials such as furniture, household items, and home goods. We provide the essentials to make a home into the sanctuary our veterans deserve. The success of our program is evident in the lives we touch. We can measure our success through the volume of veterans we have served since June 2013. The past three years we experienced a unique set of circumstances furnishing homes for the homeless veterans we supported through the pandemic.
We started serving veterans in June 2013, reaching our 1000th served in 7 years. We have served an additional 1000 in a little over 3 years. There has been an increased need for our services to ensure our veterans are able to start over in dignity.
We are looking for groups to volunteer with us. Join our volunteer family as we serve our veterans.
Way to help -
1) Create a team of volunteers - 2 to 6 people to join our crews to deliver surplus.
2) Lead teams overtime where volunteers can be given a mission. Load up trucks, deliver surplus and assemble items if necessary.
3) Run a donation drive for us.
4) Make an impact with us today.
