Help us create impact for 225 Black and Brown social impact founders, and the 90,000 people they'll help over the next 2 years! We're Represented Foundation. We're a Brooklyn, NY - based nonprofit on a mission to close the diversity gap in social impact leadership. Right now we're seeking some incredible people! We're looking for Marketing, IT, User Experience and Product Management experts who want to make a difference by enhancing our Community Portal on our website for a very special purpose.
One of our core initiatives at Represented Foundation is Service Groups; -- where we pair teams of high-skilled volunteer consultants with Black and Brown social impact leaders, for short-term, collaborative, community-based engagement projects. (Projects are in different areas including business development, marketing/communications and financial operations for typically six-week periods.)
We've implemented Service Groups twice before, each time using a manual matching system for volunteers and entrepreneurs. To increase impact, scale the opportunity and help more Black and Brown social impact founders get exactly the support they need, first we need to find an online solution that allows both types of participants to either vote for, or self-select their projects or volunteers.
We're asking for the right UX, Marketing, Sales or tech-based volunteers to:
- map and design the volunteer / entrepreneur user experiences
- find the best software add-ons or compatible software solutions for our community portal
- build out our 'Service Groups' profile matching page
- provide landscape research on similar volunteer engagement platforms
- review and enhance our sales strategy for corporate partners
As a nonprofit, our mission at Represented Foundation is to close the diversity gap in Social Impact Leadership. We want to see racial parity achieved among our leaders, leading to better solutions and healthier communities for everyone. By the year 2043 when people of color are half of the US population, we want to see half of social impact leaders be people of color as well.

The intent of Linn Mar Post Prom is to keep students safe on prom night by providing a safe, alcohol and drug free event immediately following prom. Students must arrive shortly after prom ends and are not allowed to leave and re-enter the building. We provide food, fun games, and activities, such as a hypnotist. In addition, grand prizes are awarded at the end of the night and students must be present to win. This encourages students to attend and remain at post prom until the morning, after which they can return home safely.Post prom is entirely funded through business and parent donations. All senior students are invited to attend, whether or not they attend prom. Many students decide to forgo prom, which is often expensive, and choose to attend post prom.
We are exited to have post prom in person again this year and the students are thrilled as well! We hare hoping that Kohls employees will choose to volunteer on the day of the event with set up during the day or at the event in the evening.
