Participate in Megan's Virtual Walk by signing up at bit.ly/MegansVirtualWalk or from our website at www.meganswings.org. Registration cost is $30 and comes with a event t-shirt and custom bib to write who you walk for and where. Wear it when you do your walk for the kids, then post a picture on social media.

Take a walk in your neighborhood or do our traditional 5K that starts and ends at McCarthy Park (we will have the start and finish line clearly marked). Complete your walk between Sept 26 - Oct 3 to help raise awareness and money for childhood cancer programs through Megan's Wings Foundation. Proceeds help pay bills for families struggling during the pandemic.

Goal of the event is to raise funds for critical brain tumor/cancer research, with funds going directly to the researcher and not for any overhead expenses. While advances have been made in breast, lung and colon-rectal cancers, that is not the case with brain cancers. So many new trials are in progress to stop the growth of the tumors and keep them from returning, so this research must be continued.

During this dire time of need during the COVID-19 pandemic, our senior citizens are the most vulnerable. Volunteer to be a phone-caller to help them stay connected, provide social support, and a sense of companionship during this time of increased social isolation and distancing. Learn about their essential needs and work with other volunteers to help arrange meal delivery, groceries, medications, and other care packages.

Our seniors deserve to stay in their homes and engaged in the communities they love. Westside Pacific Villages is making that happen.

WPV is not a retirement facility or caregiving agency. We are a non-profit organization coordinating a network of local volunteers to assist our members with everyday life.
