Opportunity Details

24000.ORG, a not-for-profit 501c(3), requests your volunteer service. Your service will help support 24000.ORG’s 6th Annual Red Tie Gala that will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Georgetown, KY. We anticipate having almost 200 attendees at the event. Attendees include supporters of 24000.ORG’s mission which mostly live in Central Kentucky, primarily Lexington and Georgetown.

All attendees are encouraged to dress in Red Tie and Red Cocktail attire for a fun, classy night out with friends. Our goal is to raise funds for mosquito nets to distribute in the eastern Uganda area of Africa and to raise funds for boreholes at primary schools in Uganda. We will have several avenues to donate during this evening: Silent Auction, Lump Sum Donation, and Monthly Scholarships.

We are in need of volunteers to help pull off this event.

Since it was founded in 2012, 24000.ORG has distributed over 35,000 mosquito nets to families in Uganda and provided clean water to over 300 children at a school and orphanage. The board also recently approved two borehole (water well) project that will give over 1000 children access to water while they attend school.

As we enter a new decade, we are focused on continuing our mission to bridge gaps, build community, and bring hope to our families. Our programs for the new decade are bold and we need you to make them a reality. Our largest fundraiser is on the horizon, and we are calling on you to "Step Right Up" and make this the best year yet! This year we are including a sit-down dinner and our keynote speaker is coming all the way from the UK (from across the ocean, not the river).
We are in need of volunteers to welcome our guests at registration, help with the silent auction, and collect paperwork from tables during the speakers.
