Solve Education! Foundation works hard to enable people to empower themselves through education by providing access to interactive, personalized, and accessible learning platforms, namely Ed the Learning Bot, especially for marginalized communities. As of May 2024, Solve Education! Foundation has reached over 750,000 learners around the world with more than 22 million exercises completed.

This volunteering initiative provides a unique opportunity for learners to engage with professional volunteers globally through regular sessions aimed at developing crucial career skills. This program is designed to empower marginalized youth and the public by enhancing their job market readiness through practical, real-world interaction. Participants engage in mock interviews, resume reviews, and mentorship after earning points through our Ed the Learning Bot platform. This point-based system motivates continuous learning and ensures commitment before accessing our tailored sessions. Our goal is to equip learners with the skills and confidence to excel in the job market, enhancing both their personal and professional growth.

Main tasks:
As a volunteer, you will be expected to:
- Facilitate career readiness sessions for our learners, such as resume review and mock interview
- Provide mentorship and career advice to learners
- Offer feedback and encouragement to boost learners' confidence

Time zone:
This activity is set in the following time zone: GMT+7 (Jakarta Time)

Duration and frequency (can be adjusted based on the availability of the volunteer):
- Duration of session: 2 hours
- Frequency: Monthly sessions based on volunteer availability, with 5 to 10 volunteers per session
- Length of commitment: Minimum 1 session for all volunteers
- Availability: Evergreen; sessions are available year-round

Agenda:
The rough agenda of the activity will be as follows:
- 10 minutes for opening and introduction of the volunteers
- 5 minutes for distribution into breakout rooms
- 60 minutes for interactive career readiness sessions (mock interviews, resume reviews, mentorship) with volunteers in breakout rooms
- 5 minutes for participants to reconvene in the main room
- 10 minutes for a sharing session for participant feedback and testimonials

Main tasks:
As a volunteer, you will be expected to:
- Share your professional and personal experiences and practical knowledge with our learners through an engaging session.
- Facilitate Q&A sessions to address our learners' queries related to the topic discussed.
- Collaborate with our team to develop content for the sessions.

Time zone:
This activity is set in the following time zone: GMT+7 (Jakarta Time)

Duration and frequency (can be adjusted based on the availability of the volunteer):
- Duration of session: 1 hour
- Frequency: 1 - 2 sessions per month (can increase based on volunteer availability) with one different speakers per session
- Length of commitment: Minimum 1 day per session and speaker
- Availability: Evergreen; sessions are available year-round

Agenda:
The rough agenda of the activity will be as follows:
- 45 minutes of a sharing session which can adopt a fireside chat style or talk show (can be adjusted based on request) led by a moderator
- 15 minutes of Q&A session with our learners and internal team

Opportunity Details

Community Volunteer Advocates are the cornerstone of UPLIFT's Home Team program. The goal of UPLIFT is to leverage community support through volunteerism and provide those experiencing homelessness individualized support in the form of housing search assistance.

Community Volunteer Advocates volunteer weekly to provide clients and their case managers support in the housing search and application process. Volunteer time may be spent virtually to find housing or resources from home and over the phone to pass along leads. Some volunteer time may be spent in-person to help clients understand and fill out applications depending on the volunteer's comfort level. UPLIFT provides weekly case conferencing meetings where volunteers and the Home Team Program Manager connect to share resources and ideas on next steps.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Time Commitment: 5 hours per week for a 4 month term including attending weekly case conferences.

Required Skills/Experience: Volunteers should enjoy problem-solving and collaboration, and be technologically savvy. Volunteers will need to have access to a reliable computer, phone, and high-speed wifi.

Onboarding Process: Fill out the application and attend a Home Team Training.

Each Stitch Counts provides liquid dish soap with handmade dishcloths attached to local food pantries. Those that rely on food pantries often cannot afford this basic cleaning product. By attaching a handmade dishcloth, we are letting them know that someone cares.
The dishcloths replace the need for sponges or paper towels as they are machine washable and reusable.

Reading UP! is about sparking curiosity in young people, encouraging them to play & explore through reading, building their self confidence by reading aloud, and even teaching young people about consequences and & developing better decision making skills.
We've been incredibly successful by going into classrooms and reading Pop-Up Books for grades PreK-3rd Grade and then Choose Your Own Adventure Books for 4th Grade up through Middle School.
We've been partnering with another Nonprofit, Children Read Atlanta, to provide books but their primary focus is children Aged 0-5.
Our focus for Reading UP! is Elementary School & Middle School for this Program.
It's been SHOCKINGLY Successful so our goal is provide books for the classrooms and kids to keep for themselves.
To do that, we need your help-- Please support our efforts by providing new & gently used books such as Pop Up Books (like the Wide Mouthed Frog or whatever other ones you enjoy), Mix-and-Match Board Books, Books by Robert Sabuda(Good for all ages), & Choose Your Own Adventure Books (bundles available at https://www.cyoa.com/collections/enchiladas ).
You can have them shipped to Volunteeroes at PO Box 466 Pendergrass, GA 30567.
We'll happily record our members reading and giving the books you donate to the classes and have them give a Thank You Video for the books you donate.

This is all happening to motivate, educate, and empower young adult competitors from 800+ Ga Middle & High schools and their families in Georgia and other families from around the Southeast.
The accompanying Creative Expo will bring in 3500 more Creatives & Creators from across the country for a weekend of Creative Industry networking, art, & culture. Furthermore, it will offer diverse engagement opportunities for sponsors & exhibitors to reach gamers, Creators, Creatives, & their families directly.
The point of all of this is to inspire & spark Curiosity in the young adults and their families attending and show them that Gaming leads to Coding & Tech Skills. Coding & Tech Skills lead to High Paying Careers.

Opportunity Details

The annual Charity Golf Classic is held at Thorny Lea Golf Club and is an important fundraiser for Signature Healthcare. This year's tournament will raise funds for our Mission Possible Campaign. Volunteers will perform various jobs such as selling raffle tickets, serving continental breakfast, setting up the function room for dinner, or being stationed at a contest hole on the course.

Volunteers will be provided a continental breakfast, cookout lunch, and sit down buffet dinner as well as a gift from the tournament and a volunteer polo shirt.
