Volunteers are vital to helping us with our annual Bowl-A-Thon fundraising event. We look forward to working with the team at Kohl's every year. The event description is below.

Join us for the 10th annual Kids' Future Bowl-A-Thon, sponsored by A & P Master Images. The event will be held on Friday, April 13, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Pin-O-Rama Lanes in Utica.

Howard Potter, CEO of A & P Master Images, feels the Bowl-A-Thon is a much-anticipated and enjoyed community event.

"The Kid's Future Bowl-A-Thon is more than an event to help raise money for a great cause; it brings everyone together for a fun night out."

For 10 years, The Bowl-A-Thon has helped the children at The House of the Good Shepherd by raising funds to purchase school books, holiday gifts, duffle bags, bowling passes, art supplies, music instruments, computers, field trips, and other recreational activities. Local businesses and families came out for the event to spend an evening bowling while enjoying entertainment like a photo booth, raffles, and a DJ.

The House of the Good Shepherd is a regional provider of treatment services for 770 children and families in need annually. The House operates on 12 sites and offers an increasing number of community-based services.

Opportunity Details

March for Marrow Los Angeles 2018 is an inspiring and festive walk for patients with bone marrow failure disease, their families, friends and supporters and will include team photos and inspiring stories from patients, family members and medical professionals. The 5K Run will start at 8:00 am and the Walk will start at 9:45 am.

We ask that Kohl’s Volunteers assist us with set-up at 6:30 am, registration beginning at 7:30 am including t-shirt hand-out; Einstein’s breakfast; 5K Awards Ceremony; the Celebrate and Remember Board; Banner Signing Table; the Art of Elysium art activities; Silent Auction and the close down of the event.

Opportunity Details

Volunteers needed to help make a difference at over 70 beaches throughout the coast of NJ! All ages are invited to this fun, well organized beach cleanup! COA's Beach Sweeps is one of the nations longest standing and largest beach cleanups. Volunteers become citizen scientists for the day by recording the types and quantity of marine debris which COA uses to help implement anti-littering laws and policy. Not only is the Beach Sweeps a rewarding day giving back before summer, but also provides important pollution reduction education to all participants.
All supplies will be provided and each location has a trained Beach Captain to provide cleanup instructions. Please bring gloves and dress for the weather.
