OUR MISSION:

Our mission is to rescue children from a potentially dangerous social environment, etc. Violence, physical adult abuse, psychological abuse, and neglect of education, poor living conditions and immoral values.


We need your generous contribution like volunteer in order to get some sponsors to provide our kids (60) with the opportunity of becoming professional dancers and to delight art lovers in the main scenarios of the world.

Each sponsor could give total economic support or choose whatever is necessary to them:

Food US$ 100 mostly
Transportation (children live so far from the Foundation, like 2 hours ) US$85 mostly
Education US$58 mostly
Uniform for girls US$140 every three month
Uniform for boys US$80 every three month
Costume US$180 twice a year

This foundation has 60 poor children from 6 years old.

Opportunity Details

Our LawnBuster program convert residential lawn into drought-tolerant landscapes that save, approximately, 31 gallons per square foot. Projects also provide much needed diversity in our urban ecosystem through the installation of native trees and shrubs.

LawnBuster projects take two days to complete and adult volunteers are encouraged to attend. The LawnBust team will provide all necessary tools and equipment and outline each step of the LawnBust as they go.

Outgoing, reliable and bilingual volunteers are needed to help the Charity Director with fundraising in Quebec and Ontario. Main responsibilities include phoning and outreach to businesses, database entry and assisting in event coordination. We are looking for outgoing, friendly and responsive individuals with good communication skills in French and English, with an ability to network; experience with communications or marketing an asset, experience/knowledge in mental health an asset.

Our Community Nursery provides native and drought-tolerant trees and shrubs to the local community via direct purchase and sources all community projects managed by Our City Forest - Community Planting, LawnBusters, & Trees for All.

We are open to the public every Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 9am-12pm and welcome volunteers of any age group interested in tree and shrub care, propagation, and customer service. No prior experience is required!

Our experiences include a tour of our Sydney (Yagoona) facility, lunch, refreshments, a presentation on our work, an enrichment making activity, plus hands on interaction with animals in their kennels, as well as getting your hands dirty with activities the shelter Animal Attendants need assistance with that day! We host corporate experience days in Sydney (Yagoona) twice a week, from 9:00am-3:00pm, for up to 10 people. The price for the day is $2,200 (including GST), which of course includes a portion that will be reinvested into care for the animals.

You can also pack a similar corporate experience day into 3 hours, from 9.00am-12.00pm or 12pm-3pm, for up to 10 people, at $1,200 (including GST).

The NCCFB is constantly seeking great volunteers to join our team. The folks who make up our volunteer base are passionate about helping others and full of compassion and positive energy. We have volunteers in the roles of: data entry, monthly reporting, client intake - computer entry, preparation of food boxes for our clients, cleaning and sanitizing to insure we meet all healthy codes, drivers and drivers helpers who pick up the daily donations received from the local area grocery stores.

Hope Gospel Mission serves homeless and addicted single men, single women, and women and children in western Wisconsin with both short term and long term programs. Our Bargain Center and Building Hope resale stores receive donations of used items and residents in our programs, paid staff, and volunteers process the donations and offer them for sale to the public and provide reuse and recycling services.
