STEAM Maker is seeking volunteers for the Winter STEAM Maker Festival at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on December 2nd.Who says education and fun can't go hand-in-hand? At the San Diego STEAM Maker Festival, students, parents and teachers can come together and discover plenty of exciting new ways to broaden their minds in the world of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. The event will include collaborative projects and activities from over 200 schools and 180 student teams, as well as over 50 demonstrations from various industry tech companies. There'll also be challenges that focus on robotics, fashion, recycling and more. Get ready to learn something new when the San Diego STEAM Maker Festival comes to the Del Mar Fairgrounds!
Volunteers are needed for preparation in the weeks prior to the Festival, for mentoring student teams, assisting in organization and execution of hands-on activities during the Festival, and for setup and tear-down the day of.

Announcing Volunteer Opportunities at Joseph Learning Lab. We are an education outreach nonprofit organization. We Tutor/Mentor under-served children who are falling behind and need help to get caught up with math, Reading and other core courses.Volunteers are needed to tutor/mentor students in elementary to high school with home work and core courses: Math/English/Science/Reading. If you are interested in helping a child learn in Los Angeles County, join us between 3:00 to 6:30 pm, two or three dayis a week. Also when time permits, we incorporate fun Fit-sports activities to address the nation's child obesity issue.
