Time In has some important design needs - things like an annual report, for instance - that has to represent the nuts and bolts of what we do, but still look as beautiful as the incredible work that we do with kids. Right now our marketing materials are extremely expensive and voluminous: theyn need to be intelligently edited and prepared by someone with marketing expertise.

Gather your corporate group to provide a home-cooked meal for the 55 guest families at the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. This program provides a much-needed service to our families who are supporting their children and often do not have the time, energy, or funds to prepare a healthy, home-cooked meal while they stay here.

Our vision is that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education and that all those who have more than they need, share with those who lack even the most basic things. $26.40 is all it costs for us to feed a child for a whole school year. That is only .13 cents a day. Currently, we are feeding over 1,838,859 million children a day in 19 countries. Our idea is a simple one that works. We provide one nutritious daily meal in a place of learning in order to attract chronically poor children into the classroom, where they receive an education that can, in the future, be their ladder out of poverty. Every child deserves an education and enough to eat.

Our work is mainly carried out by our wonderful army of Community Ambassadors who volunteer by contributing in all sorts of different ways. But we’re always in need of more help as the need is great! The more Community Ambassadors we can partner with, the more hungry children we can reach.

We have a range of fulfilling and fun opportunities to help you raise awareness of the work of Mary’s Meals in your local area as a Community Ambassador.

Deciding to join our movement and become a Community Ambassador, you will be part of a group of passionate volunteers, you will join us as we grow our movement through local groups to motivate and inspire people in your local community to support our work.

As a valued member of the Mary’s Meals family, you will play an active role in raising awareness and promoting our nationwide fundraising campaigns & initiatives.

We have a range of activities that can be done from the comfort of your own home during this time of local restrictions. These include:
• Promoting our work on social media.
• Giving virtual talks to local groups.
• Hosting virtual community engagement events such as film screenings about Mary’s
Meals’ work.
• Meeting virtually with other local Mary’s Meals Community Ambassadors in your
community.
• Hosting fun virtual events like online game nights.
• As restrictions change across Canada, other key activities may include:
o Sharing our story with local community organizations, schools, churches, and faith
groups.
o Organizing fundraising events in your local area – bottle drives, bake sales, car wash,
clothing drive etc.
o Promoting Mary’s Meals’ fundraising campaigns in your community.
o Distributing and displaying promotional materials.
o Helping to generate support from businesses in your local area.

If you are someone who prefers to lead and is interested in a leadership role, you could apply to become a Team Lead who has the joy of leading a small team of Community Ambassadors within your region. In this role you will motivate, inspire and build your team of Community Ambassadors to share the work of Mary’s Meals. We provide you with support, resources and training to ensure your success!

"I chose to be a community ambassador at Mary's Meals Canada because their values and goals closely aligned with my own. Mary's Meals believes that every child deserves an education on a full stomach. This ensures each child is at their best and able to learn as much as they can. There might be many barriers to education, but Mary's Meals is doing their best to ensure food isn't one of them. Because of their transparent use of donations, and a mission statement that sets their organization apart, I am proud to represent Mary's Meals in my community!” - Atif, Community Ambassador, Ontario

We look forward to partnering together with you!!!

We rely on our amazing volunteers to help with many aspects of our guide and service dog operations. Volunteers are the lifeblood of any not-for-profit organization, and without the dedication, commitment, and support of these giving individuals, the Guide Dog Foundation could not accomplish our mission. Last year, our volunteers donated more than 4.5 million hours of their time to help us serve people with disabilities.

Our volunteer family includes puppy raisers, individuals who act as advisers on our board of directors, work in our kennels, and host events to raise money for our programs. They help out in the office or transport puppies and adult dogs. They also go on speaking engagements and lead tours, help serve meals when class is in session, and socialize with students during free time.
