Cercle Social is looking for a Technology Specialist that will design, operate and maintain the organization technology tools. We are seeking for talents to join our team. This position is unpaid. We determine, the responsibilities for this position based on the experience of the applicant. As the technical person of the organization, you will:
• Host and maintain the organization official website.
• Design systems and assess the effectiveness of technology resources already in use
• Advise on a new systems that could be implemented.
• Determine the practicality of changes and modification of the tools.
• Provide technical support to the organization's members
• Train non-technical members/volunteers on how to utilize the organizations tools.

Ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Computer science
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
• Information science
• Engineering
• Operations research

Time Commitment:

- Meetings: Biweekly
- Duties commitment time: 5 hours/month or grater according to workload.

• Spearheading the revenue and fundraising efforts of the organization, in coordination with board committee members.
• Proposing a marketing strategy, Grants, Fundraising, Business Development and Events.
• Participating in Board committee meetings.
• Developing, in coordination with the board members, the revenue and fundraising strategic plan for the organization.
• Representing the organization in the community on matters related to fundraising, community relations, and revenue development.

Ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Previous experience in a fundraising role either on a professional or volunteer level
• Experience in grant writing, major gift solicitation, event planning or direct marketing/fundraising.
• Knowledgeable about the nonprofit and fundraising procedure — previous non-profit BOD experience is a plus.
• Passionate about helping youth and making an impact in the world.

Develop Computer Training curriculum or Sensory Technology experience for individuals with special needs including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral palsy that focus connectivity within the community, enhanced social experiences and access to various service that assist the goal of living with dignity and opportunity for independence.

In the area of special needs, everyone’s cognitive and motor skills are different. We are seeing first to create sensory development opportunities while leveraging emerging technologies that will assist people with special needs to experience a richer more meaningful life. We are also utilizing social media platforms to broaden their social experiences and basic office software depending on individual level working with technology.

Students range from high-school to adult.

Volunteer Individuals and group teams would be utilizing our computer lab to help provide these opportunities with people in our programs that sign up for computer opportunities. We hope to learn from each hand-on presentation to expand and improve these experiences. We also seek individual corporate partners in the technology fields who would like to field-test new tools they may be developing in a special needs learning environment.

Classes will be supported by our experienced staff at The Arc of Atlantic County, who are highly experiences working with special needs individuals to insure the program is both enjoyable and successful. This internship might also offer the opportunity to contribute to our current curriculums and other projects. It also will give volunteers the opportunity to work in the nonprofit sector and gain insights into nonprofit management, children's rights and work within communities.

Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated with a great attitude.
- Must have previous experience in graphic design.
- Proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, or alternative programs.

- Receiving training as an ICDP Facilitator to support work related with ICDP Caregiver Learning Groups
- Support the coordination of ICDP Caregiver Groups & Children’s Programs (Elgin, Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, Chicago)
- Assist with Facilitator & Trainer Workshop Organization / Training Materials
- Support Educational Resource Books & Tool Kit Improvement
- Support CCWF Education/ICDP Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting (including ICDP Databases entry, possible article writing and web reports)
- Assist in coordinating the ICDP NASW - Continuing Education Administration
- Participate in ICDP Education Community Outreach
