We are in need of volunteers to assist at Catch My Thrift. Our hope is to raise funds through our thrift store to help sustain the Advocacy Department at Harvest House while also providing a place where our clients can gather items they are in need of, free of charge.
Our goal is to have Catch My Thrift fully operated by volunteers and to give volunteers an opportunity to give back with their time and efforts to continue the mission of Harvest House

Opportunity Details

The Summit Center Autism Walk is a community-wide event to raise funds in support of Summit's programs and services in Western New York. The Summit Center provides children and adults with autism the resources and support they need to reach their full potential. We need over 200 volunteers to make the day run smoothly for our walkers! Please sign up below for the shifts you are available for. You may sign up for more than one shift as long as the shift times do not overlap. We hope you will stay for the day to help us! We are looking for volunteers that would like to help as classroom assistants for elementary, middle, or high-school-aged children. Daily programming includes fun and engaging activities that focus on academics, STEM, healthy habits, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and drug/alcohol abuse prevention.

Kids Night Out provides an opportunity for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City to raise much needed funds to operate Club Units & youth development programs for thousands of youth who need us each year.
Kids Night Out will begin with a pre-performance party featuring cocktails and a silent auction. Guests will then enjoy a delicious dinner while bidding on a live auction. In addition, youth from the Clubs will participate in the program and join the adults to enjoy our celebrity performers, who have an extensive list of musical accolades — including three consecutive GRAMMY awards for Best Country Duo and multiple CMA and ACM awards. It promises to be an exciting night full of surprises!

What: The Clubs need volunteers to assist at Kids Night Out in areas such as registration and check out, greeters, Golden Ticket and jewelry pull ticket sellers, ushers, and cleanup.

Featuring: Program with a performance by the 3x GRAMMY Award Winner, Dan + Shay, and more!

Who: YOU! Volunteers 18 years or older are needed to assist with this year’s event. Boxed dinners will be provided. Volunteers have the option to stand/sit in a designated area and watch the performance.

Dress: Business Attire – no jeans, no t-shirts but comfortable shoes, such as clean sneakers, are necessary as volunteers spend the evening on their feet! Volunteers that help with set-up may wear casual clothing.

Why: The kids need your help! The Clubs help young people, ages 5-18, discover and maximize their potential, through programs in the areas of technology, digital arts, sports & fitness, leadership, and public speaking. Funds raised at Kids Night Out help to ensure that the Clubs can continue to serve youth throughout Kansas City with these life-changing programs.
