Center Pole welcomes volunteers from all walks of life for all of its projects. Opportunities are located on the rural Crow (Apsaalooke) Indian reservation in southeastern Montana. Accommodations and food are offered in exchange for a full-time commitment for a period of time. Volunteers must be interested in learning about Native American culture in depth and in working hard on whatever project is available. Ground rules include no alcohol or drugs during stay and being flexible, patient and kind and not superimposing one's ways and beliefs upon a different culture. Having awareness of culture shock is a must and willingness to go without creature comforts a necessity. Signing a letter of intent and an agreement to follow the rules is required.To apply, send us an email of introduction about yourself. A background check may be required. Opportunities are also available to work on seasonal spiritual events as helpers and cooks. For those a cross-cultural training is required.

We have a number of special events that help provide necessary funding for many of our activities and programs for our youth. Our resources are low, so we depend of volunteers to help leverage our man-power. Each year, we do at a minimum of two special events, and sometimes three or more. This year, we are hosting a 5k run and are in need of volunteers to be on the steering committee and other various committees. Our goal with this event is to raise awareness and money for our Safe Place Program that helps keep teens off the streets.Available Shifts

Vatsalya's young leadership Kartikey Gupta with its keen and passionate interest in science and Solar energy is inculcating science knowledge among poor and marginalised rural children not only from its school but also from the neighbouring rural schools in the community. our young science promoter has built a unique science centre with the direct involvement and support from Professors Frances Arnold (Chemistry noble laurate 2018), Pamela Bjorgman of Caltech University, Prof Jainendra K Jain, Penn State University, Wolfgang Shaefller and Heiki, German Solar Scientists.Vatsalya’s Udayan is a unique home, where we assist the children to meet life head on an appreciate it, and we transform them into health happy human beings. Fatima Childrens Home is NOT an orphanage. It is a loving home for more than 42 children aging from 1 day to 18 years. For whatever reason the children find themselves without a home or food or access to education, they are welcomed into this family, and have a space of their own and are respected and cared for. The children are placed at Fatima by the court system, and there is no monetary support, or monetary gain for Fatima. The loving Guatemalans that support this home, do it out of pure love and commitment to those in need. It is incredible to be amongst them and see the level of care they provide. Psychological counseling for children, parenting classes for parents or relatives if they are in the picture, schooling, and chores for the kids in this home. Not to mention, art, dancing, singing, and homework. The program is focused on returning to children to family if that is an option, but working with the entire family system to ensure safe and successful, self sufficient futures, with education access as a key. We are so proud of the incredible work they do, and are looking to support them as they expand their program to the indigenous region in Solola. Bringing jobs, and family support to the families in this area. Guatemalan Run, Guatemalan community goals at the core. Creating jobs, and helping families stay together and stay in the country the love. Providing hope and futures. Come be a part of it... visitors are welcome with a donation to Fatima Childrens Home. Groups can play with the children, offer to do activities at the home. Housing and travel would be the responsibility of the volunteer, but we can organize trips for groups and individuals through our trusted travel liasons. We would love to have you come and experience the love, care and hope in this really magical place. It really is amazing.
