One-hour, live Teams event. Remote. Unlimited participants.

As we see in the headlines, the war in Ukraine has exacerbated an already acute global food crisis. The three C’s of COVID, Conflict, and Climate Change drive this crisis, and unless we act now, the situation may become even more dire. However, as many experts have agreed, supporting small-scale farmers, sustainable agriculture, and localized food systems are among the most promising solutions to this crisis.
Learn how Heifer International works globally to help millions of families earn better incomes while producing food for their communities and the world in climate-smart ways. Heifer’s values-based development model even supports equity and understanding within and across our work communities.
As we discuss how critical healthy food systems are to avoiding even greater food insecurity, we will also highlight how you can volunteer in your community and take action at home to help end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth.

The work of Heifer International helps families in 21 countries, including the US, to lift themselves from hunger and poverty to health and prosperity. This program will support that work, and participants will also have the opportunity to volunteer at a local food bank to support their own communities.

This event can be offered throughout the month of October, except for 10/17-10/20.

At CYT Dallas, we believe in the power of building character through the medium of Creative Arts. In our culture, character is something that is often hoped for but seldom realized. We have the opportunity to impart discipline and integrity while instilling self-confidence in each student that accepts our challenge. While students are busy creating characters on stage, we are focused on helping them build character that will shape not only their future but our's as well.

We believe that God created us all equal and we are indeed beautifully and wonderfully made in His image, each of us with talents and skillsets that are uniquely ours. Our desire is that through the creative arts, we help our students to realize those talents and skillsets individually while learning the value of respect, work ethics, working together, and the importance of time and effort well spent.

We have chosen to reach out to students who loved exploring their creative side. While doing so, we hope to plant seeds in their lives that will change the world around them and possibly the world in which we all live. Creative Arts have infused the world for Millennia; painting, singing, acting, dancing, writing, artisanal crafts -- All of these disciplines have impacted the history of our world.

We want to build, guide, and shape character while creating characters for everyone's enjoyment. Who better to utilize these God-Given gifts than those who have been impacted and taught the Godly ways to use their gifts?

If you have a creative student in your life who would benefit from a program like this, as well as, have an opportunity to include others, CYT has a program just for that person.

We need your help to make these dreams come true! Our annual gala allows us to raise the funds needed to make those dreams happen!

Thanksgiving is truly a time for everyone to pause and give thanks for the gifts in their life. At Project Renewal we strive to make every New Yorker, especially those in our life-transforming programs in health, homes and jobs, have a Thanksgiving that is special and personal.

Join Colgate colleagues to make Thanksgiving holiday cards for New Yorkers experiencing homelessness and working to renew their lives.

Cards, accompanying a full Thanksgiving dinner, are distributed to hundreds of clients at Project Renewal, as well as partner organizations. Cards accompanying these meals can help make this special delivery a personalized and unique experience for New Yorkers in need.

Thanksgiving is also the busiest time at Project Renewal, and cards for the homeless community in NYC that we will be feeding over the holiday will be appreciated by everyone.

Together Center (TC) is a nonprofit human services hub serving the Greater Eastside for over 30 years. The 20+ nonprofit providers located at TC’s campus in Downtown Redmond help 30,000+ people each year via an innovative model that benefits both residents seeking services and the dedicated nonprofits who serve them.

TC is under construction on a landmark project in Downtown Redmond that rebuilds and expands our nonprofit human services hub and adds 280 units of family-focused affordable housing.

As a small nonprofit with a staff of 3 and no marketing department, Together Center is seeking volunteers to help organically spread the word about this innovative model – one of the Eastside’s best kept nonprofit secrets - and the bold redevelopment project now under construction.

Volunteers are asked to come for 1 hour. The first 50 minutes will be an opportunity to learn about TC, the new campus, and view the construction site. The last 10 minutes will be a live promotion period. If volunteers are impressed, they can use the final 10 minutes to post about TC on social media and LinkedIn and/or invite their friends and colleagues to come learn more.

By serving as a mouthpiece for Together Center during this exciting time, volunteers can positively impact the Greater Eastside for years to come by helping make the community aware of TC’s work to reduce health and social disparities and offer wrap-around services for vulnerable populations by uniting nonprofit providers and reducing barriers to service access.

Thanks for considering helping Together Center raise its public profile and visibility via this atypical but valuable and informative volunteer experience!

We are looking for a volunteer to support Goodwill Industries International (“GII”), the international federation headquarters for the 155 Goodwills across the US and Canada, on a new UX research project to support the redesign of Goodwill.org. Many people know Goodwill as a thrift retail store, but only three in ten people understand Goodwill’s mission & vision, which is to provide people with opportunities and support to empower themselves and thrive through training, development and employment. Goodwill.org, serves as a primary touchpoint for the organization’s key audiences, including thrift shoppers, goods donors, program participants and financial donors.

The goal of this project is to specifically improve the website experience for goods donors who serve as key audience to make Goodwill’s mission possible. As a result of the UX research, we are looking to accomplish the following objectives:

1) Allow goods donors to easily take actions on Goodwill.org towards their goals.

2) Allow goods donors to better understand Goodwill’s mission and purpose.

With support from Google.org Fellows, Goodwill International Industries previously executed UX research around the needs of job seekers to optimize our new website design. With this research, we hope to gain insights about goods donors to enrich our understanding of the key audiences audience and identify additional opportunity areas to make UI and UX design improvements. We are seeking a UX researcher to lead this work and will collaborate with the volunteer to recruit at least 3 Goods Donors to include in the UX test. We will leverage the same methodology used to research the Job Seeker audience to maintain consistency and facilitate this study. We hope that you will consider joining this critical workstream and join us as we deepen our understanding of this key audience.

Walk Like MADD is our signature event to raise awareness on the dangers of substance impaired driving and raise vital funds, so we can provide direct support services to the victim survivors and educate the community on the ultimate consequences of this 100% preventable crime. Many who participate have a common bond. They know someone who has been injured or killed in a substance impaired driving crash, or they feel strongly about ending drunk driving.

With every step taken and each dollar raised, we support MADD's lifesaving mission to keep our families and communities safe.
