Help Make a Welcome Home Banner for Children with Cancer

“Calling All Volunteers!” Join our ongoing Banner Project which has been completely re-engineered for 2024.

Volunteers support the project by coloring pages using our new 2024 digital coloring process which helps us to create a one-of-a-kind "Welcome Home Banner" for a child who has Cancer. You'll be helping us brighten their room when they get home from the hospital!

SIDE NOTE: If you volunteered in the past with this project, you know that historically Volunteer Kits were shipped to the team captain at your store. The captains then coordinated getting the materials dispersed and the projects completed with the individual team members.

Going forward, we are thrilled to invite you to volunteer using our new Online Digital Volunteer Platform.

Please sign-up for the event here as you normally do. Next, navigate to our online digital platform which has detailed and complete step-by-step instructions on the new process.

To reach the new digital platform, copy and paste the following url into your browser's address bar: https://braveheartsforkids.org/community-volunteer-platform

You may also navigate to the platform by clicking the Website Link at the bottom of this page.

Thanks again for stepping up to support the BraveHearts Banner project! Your volunteer service helps provide hope and inspiration to Kids battling cancer and their Families too:

Some of our Volunteer Feedback:

Sarah D: I've been a part of the BraveHearts Banner project for a few years, but the new digital coloring process has been a game-changer. It's so easy and convenient to participate from home. Knowing that my artwork is part of a banner welcoming a brave little warrior home makes every stroke of color feel like a small act of love and support.

Mike M: As a father, I can only imagine the challenges these families face. Joining the Welcome Home Banner project has given me a way to contribute positively to their journey. The online platform is user-friendly, and it feels great to be part of a community that's spreading joy and hope to these incredible kids.

Emma W: I used to help with the banner project at my local store, but the new digital platform has made it so much more accessible. I can now contribute from anywhere, anytime. It's a beautiful feeling to know that my artwork is part of a bigger picture, bringing smiles to children returning home from their treatments.

The Johnson Family: Our whole family gets involved in coloring pages for the Welcome Home Banner. It's become a meaningful activity for us, especially for our kids, who learn about compassion and giving back. Seeing the completed banner and knowing we played a part in it is incredibly rewarding.

Linda P: I've been volunteering with BraveHearts for Kids for a while through my company's corp volunteer program, and the Banner project is by far my favorite. The transition to the digital platform has made it so much easier to participate. Each banner is a tapestry of love and support, and I'm honored to contribute to such a meaningful cause.

Family Testimonials:

Tyler's Father: "Every hand-drawn picture and message spoke directly to my Tyler's heart, reminding him of the world outside waiting for him. It's amazing how something so simple as a banner can bring so much happiness and serve as a daily reminder of the strength and courage he possesses."

Sophie's Grandfather: "When Sophie saw her personalized banner, her eyes sparkled with a mixture of surprise and delight. It was a moment of pure joy, not just for her but for all of us. The banner, adorned with messages of love and colorful drawings, became a symbol of her bravery and the overwhelming support from our community. It hangs proudly over her closet and is a constant reminder to her that her life and journey matter."

Ally's Older Sister: "I spent hours helping to color Ally's banner, focusing on every detail. Seeing her reaction, made every minute worth it. She now knows she's not alone in this fight.

Ben's Uncle: "The sound of Ben's laughter when he first saw the banner was the best sound I've heard in a long time. To know it was the kindness of strangers that made this possible humbles us all. The banner now adorns his room, a powerful message of love and strength that I believe encourages Ben daily.

Ella's Mother: "Ella's reaction to the banner was one of pure joy. She was overjoyed with the bright colors and personal touches. It's become a cherished part of her space, bringing comfort and smiles even on tough days."

Mason's Grandmother: "The banner for Mason brought a sense of celebration back into our home. It's become a beautiful reminder of the support we have, a symbol of hope that lifts our spirits every day."
