SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the PROGRAM AND EVENTS ADMINISTRATOR, you direct the planning, implementation and personnel of all fundraising efforts related to DRIVING SCIENCE AT SEA and ZERO SOUTH programs.
This position requires a highly organized individual with a professional demeanor and proven experience in a development capacity. Experience with fundraising campaigns and events is required. A team building mentality is exemplified in all work done. Demonstrated ability to leverage social media to cultivate supporters who are as engaged as we are in making positive change through DATW programs. Interest in marine science and engineering enrichment is a plus.
Recruit and manage 1-3 GRANT WRITERS
Recruit and manage a small team of sincere end engaged high-integrity FUNDRAISERS
Maintain and expand donor list
Donor relations and communication
Maintain and monitor donor compliance and assumptions for any donor advised funds
Work with DATW accounting to produce donation recognition letters and cash/in-kind gift acknowledgements
Host quarterly meeting with development staff and internal stakeholders
Report on donor relations and the organization's develop initiatives at board meetings 3X a year.
Responsible for overall planning and execution of the organization's annual fundraising event with a target to raise 25% of the annual operations budget.

This includes but not limited to branding, telling stories and being the voice of less fortunate girls in Tanzania, raising awareness about the organization and related communications including website, email marketing, social media platforms, & promotional materials.
Volunteers in this role will share and strengthen their writing, editing, design & technology talents as well as engaging in creative brainstorming for long term planning.

We are a new nonprofit aiming to uplift our most vulnerable communities through education and support. We have 501(c)3 status and have begun to apply for grants. But we want to help students now! We would like to start with students this summer. Not only will this allow us to test our program before the school year starts, but it will also provide us with valuable data to include in grant applications for the 2021-2022 school year. In other words, having a solid fundraising foundation now will help us acquire more funding in the future.I would like a Fundraising Consultant to review our current:

Dear Community Partner,The Self Help Center is excited to be planning its 5th annual Lip Sync Battle Fundraiser! This year’s theme is “Lip Sync Battle: Oil and Gas.” This event allows further funding to help provide support services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and elder abuse. Our event will be held on May 13, 2022 at the Clarion Inn (former Parkway Plaza). Cocktail hour will begin at 6 PM; the main event will begin at 7 PM.
The Self Help Center provides 24-hour crisis intervention and support services to victims in our community. We offer a 30-day emergency shelter to those who may be in immediate danger, help with protection orders, mental health services, substance use treatment, and youth prevention education programs. Funds raised through this event will help us continue the work of our mission: Prevent-Shelter-Heal.
The Lip Sync Battle will be an exciting evening where six local contestants, from six different Oil and Gas Companies, will battle to be the best Lip Sync performer. In addition, we will be having a live auction and program paddle raiser. Our event is funded 100% by community contributions and would not be possible without our generous community partners. We are asking for your support. We welcome sponsorships, cash donations, items for our silent auction packages, or any other support you may give.
