Change Me Foundation is looking for Individuals or groups to assist with the general operation of our organization and workshops we offer monthly. Our organization prides itself on working with volunteers to drive and support our mission. We are currently partnering with a local nonprofit Deerfield Beach Community Care to offer a youth support group in the Deerfield Beach Community after reviewing data that shows there an increase in mental health among young people and a lack of services in the area. We also provide a mentoring program in the central part of broward Fort Lauderdale and Unincorporated Broward to assist our young man and young ladies. Opportunity Details

We are seeking a volunteer to assist our organization in setting up five zaps in Zapier that will automate everyday tasks, including (1) adding donors from Givebutter to QBO and Hubspot and (2) splitting an amount into multiple line items GB -> QBO.

Zaps are a powerful way to automate everyday administrative tasks. Doing so will free our team members to focus on higher-level, generative work that increases our organization's capacity to help other nonprofits in need. Additionally, well-running zaps will lower our administrative costs allowing us to reinvest donor dollars into supporting the nonprofit sector.

We have an active Zapier account connected to our Givebutter, Hubspot, and Quickbooks accounts. Our ED is also well versed in Zapier to assist will set up as needed. Once complete, our team will monitor weekly zaps and troubleshoot issues with Zapier support as required.

Certified, Timed 5K ~ 1M Remembrance & Prevention Walk ~ Virtual 5K

Choose the 1 Mile Walk, the 5K Run in Flushing Meadows Corona Park OR Run wherever you are in the Virtual 5K! No Matter what distance you cover, you will make up ground in the race to prevent colorectal cancer.

This year's Certified, Timed 5K Run and Remembrance & Prevention Walk will take place in the scenic and historical Flushing Meadows Park! The course is a USATF certified loop and begins near the Queens Theater, passing the iconic World's Fair Unisphere, Fountain of the Planets and Queens Museum of Art. 5K = 1 loop.

Survivors will be invited to celebrate their victory over colorectal cancer during a special Survivors Ceremony and Commemorative Photo. Survivors and Sponsors will have access to a V.I.P. Tent and refreshments. Participants will have access to the Health and Wellness Fair including a Donation booth w/promos and giveaways and our Education booth.

The Friends of the Library hold their large used book sale once a year to raise funds for programming and materials for all ages. Through the Friends, the library is able to host authors, Children's Summer Reading programs, Teen Author events, a Robotics Club and much, much more. Volunteers for this event help us sort and lay out books and assist patrons at checkout kiosks.

Are you interested in helping others make an impact on women's health worldwide? Basic Health International is looking for motivated volunteers from the corporate sector to help re-imagine and brainstorm about making meaningful connections for volunteers. Basic Health International's (BHI) mission is eliminating cervical cancer worldwide. This cancer is preventable but it kills over 340k women each year who do not have access to : vaccination, screening, and treatment. Our work changes this, and we have many stories about the barriers women face, the researchers who improve treatment, but BHI needs a group of volunteers to help us see the value of our work from an external perspective.

Could this be you? Can you provide constructive criticism and offer potential solutions or alternatives? Do you enjoy connecting with others around storytelling? Do you have networks in mind that would respond to our mission? Are you a whiz with social media and the role of influencers? A "yes" to any of these areas makes you a great volunteer candidate for BHI.

Opportunity Details

The Sherman Volunteer Fire Department has many opportunities for individuals to volunteer their time and talent. An important thing to remember is that there is a lot more to the fire department than just waking up at 3:00 in the morning and fighting fires. The department is always in need of individuals to help out with the operation and maintenance of the firehouse as well as fundraising and administrative tasks in addition to firefighting and EMS personnel.

Of course, if you are interested in being a firefighter, EMT or EMR then we would welcome you as well. We’re always in need of more trained personnel to respond to calls, especially those who are available during the workday when many of our current members are working outside of Sherman.

Another thing to remember is that not everyone is expected to make every call. Joining the department is not a commitment to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We realize that this is a volunteer organization and that everyone has other commitments.
