The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. We need enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to help make this year’s Walk a success. Whether you’re looking to support an important cause, meet others in your community, or honor a loved one affected by Alzheimer’s, we have a role for you!

Volunteer Roles:
Event Setup & Takedown Crew
Help set up tents, tables, and decorations before the event and assist with cleanup afterward.

Registration & Check-In
Greet participants, check them in, and hand out materials to get them ready for the Walk.

Promise Garden Helpers
Distribute and organize the iconic flowers that symbolize participants' connections to Alzheimer’s.

Route Guides
Cheer on walkers and direct them along the route to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Qualifications:
No prior experience needed—just a positive attitude and willingness to help!
Great for individuals, families, students, and groups looking to give back.

Opportunity Details

The foundation addresses homelessness by giving to those in need. This will be accomplished by partnering with the Columbus Dream Center, 4114 Oates Ave, Columbus, GA, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 11:00 am EST - 1:00pm EST to had out food, clothing, and other donations to groups or individuals, etc.

Our 10th Annual Fight For Air Climb Kansas City will be hosted at One Kansas City Place in downtown KC. We know that a strong volunteer team is essential to our success. We would not be able to make it happen without you and hope you will be able to join us this year.

What will I be doing as a volunteer? • We are searching for numerous volunteers willing and able to stand, greet and direct our climbers throughout the building. • Seated positions are limited due to the venue • Opportunities include: Greeters, Check In, Water Station, Start Line, Cheer and Finish Line Teams and more. • Volunteer assignments will be given out on event day based on need

The Project support volunteer will assist in communication between CSOs and R&T, Meeting minutes, research ensuring that all elements are implemented with sensitivity and alignment to field-specific needs under the guidance of senior experts;
Support the Senior Capacity Strengthening and capacity Building Expert in the design and delivery of the awareness campaign in all its deliverables, including training workshops conducted by CSOs to local communities. Collaborate with CSOs to develop and disseminate resources
Support the Senior Research, Needs Assessment and Information Management Expert to ensure evidence-based, data-driven interventions are integrated within the deliverables. Support research and analysis to allow for a comprehensive understanding of trends, vulnerabilities, and needs of affected populations. Support knowledge on data management contribute to the accuracy and security of sensitive information, enhancing the overall integrity of the program with CSOs and communities;
Support the development of the awareness campaign ensuring and addressing survivors' legal, emotional, and social needs while promoting gender-sensitive, inclusive, and survivor-centred approaches.

For our Colorado Integrative Medicine Conference, we are seeking an experienced marketing director to help us promote and advance whole-person centric care to prevent and treat chronic diseases and cancer. Because we are a small nonprofit, the marketing director will need to be a doer in addition to being a leader to help us increase our social media following and presence.

Join us in spreading awareness and saving lives through our Responsible Kite Flying Project, a vital initiative to protect birds from the harmful effects of nylon manja used in kite flying. Each year, countless birds suffer severe injuries, including lost wings or legs, and many tragically lose their lives.

At our bird rehabilitation center, we rescue, treat, and release injured birds back into the wild. In 2023 alone, we rescued 1,048 birds and educated over 4,100 children about the dangers of manja and the importance of safe kite-flying practices.

We’re calling for passionate volunteers to help us expand this effort. You’ll have the opportunity to visit schools, share insights, and inspire students to adopt wildlife-friendly practices. Together, we can create a safer world for birds and foster compassion for all living beings.

The Water Bowls for Animals initiative is a compassionate effort to provide hydration to stray animals during the scorching summer months when water becomes scarce. Stray animals, often overlooked, face immense challenges in finding clean drinking water, especially in urban areas with limited natural water sources. Recognizing this, we distribute over 1,150 water bowls annually across cities and nearby regions, ensuring these animals have access to fresh water when they need it most.

This project is not just about meeting the basic needs of strays; it’s about fostering a community that values and cares for all living beings. By addressing this critical need, we aim to ease the lives of countless animals while raising awareness about their struggles, encouraging people to adopt more compassionate practices in their everyday lives.

To make this initiative more engaging and inclusive, we organize water bowl painting drives, primarily held at our shelter. These interactive sessions allow volunteers—both individuals and groups—to add a personal touch to the bowls while connecting with the cause. Participants leave not only with beautifully painted bowls but also with a deeper understanding of the importance of animal welfare.

Through the Water Bowls for Animals project, we hope to inspire a culture of kindness and responsibility, where every community member plays a role in creating a better world for our four-legged companions.
