Virtually Volunteer with United Way of Metro Chicago by gathering healthy snack items to create kits that have been requested by United Way Agency Partners. Hunger is a real issue that many of our neighbors face across the region. Help support this need by packing a snack pack that includes items such as trail mix, fig bars, goldfish, granola bars, fruit snacks, and apple sauce. Completed kits will be distributed to a United Way Neighborhood Network.

Millions of meals are distributed through our Partner Agencies and feeding programs thanks to our distribution center volunteers! At our facility in South East El Paso, serve by assembling food boxes, filling carts, processing donated food.

Volunteering for BFA means you’ll get to create marketing content about giving employees time off to vote, investing in election security, and promoting civic engagement in local communities.

Role Summary:

This volunteer role is perfect for the experienced email marketing manager who is now a
a stay-at-home parent looking for a small monthly time commitment to keep their skills current,
or a full-time employee looking for a manageable opportunity to contribute their skills to a good
cause.

Essential Tasks:
The program manager’s responsibility will be to help drive execution for a team of volunteers, using Asana as a key productivity tool.
Once a week, the program manager will check on key tasks, add and assign new tasks, and send an update email. Estimated time commitment at approximately 2 hours per week, often likely less.
Additional opportunity exists to take on the onboarding of new volunteers to gain or maintain some management experience.
Experience with Asana or a similar task-management platform is preferred.
Six-month commitment requested.

Ultimately, you should strengthen our online presence and increase our brand awareness through effective social media strategies and campaigns.

Analyze user engagement (e.g. click-through and bounce rates)
Report on web traffic from all social media
Build and support SEO strategies, including optimizing keywords in content marketing projects
Identify habits of our online customers and suggest ways to reach a broader audience
Maintain a cohesive strategy across all platforms to increase our brand awareness
Coordinate with the Social Media Manager and the Marketing department to design advertising campaigns

We are looking for a Psychiatrist to help us collaborate to address mental illnesses.related to stress, sleep and anxiety

What does a volunteer psychiatrist do?
The top responsibilities of a Psychiatrist include collaborating with other volunteers to design knowledge flows to support users in self-care and to support users accessing help they need.

This process could involve gathering feedback from users on their mental health and usage of the application. To be considered for this role, you need to be licensed as a Psychiatrist and certified from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).

Ultimately, you will help users recover and improve their lives.

Volunteer Responsibilities
Evaluate user clusters of emotional, behavioral and mental states through observation and analysis
Identify mental disorders relevant to stress, sleep and anxiety and determine best treatments from within medicinal foods and herbs
Develop therapy plans for user clusters
Analyze medical tests and track patients’ progress in user clusters
Advise users as sub-groups on how to cope with mental diseases and emotional breakdowns
Support patients’ loved ones and inform them about the patient’s condition via knowledge through the application
Research medical issues and new medical treatments to update your knowledge on mental healthcare
Requirements
Work experience as a Psychiatrist
In-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to a non-medical audience
Strong observation skills to accurately evaluate patients’ demeanor and identify symptoms
A great bedside manner and the ability to remain calm, empathetic and patient while interacting with patients who suffer from severe mental disorders
Thoughtful and compassionate
MD or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Certification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS)
