Opportunity Details

Highland PTO's annual Winter "Sweetheart" Dance is on Friday, February 21st from 5:30-7:30 PM. The all-inclusive dance is for all the families of Highland Elementary school and in the past has had over 400 attendees. The event includes dancing in the gymnasium, roses for every student, selfie station for pictures, a cupcake walk, food trucks in the rear of the school, and our book fair in the library taking place during the festivities. This event is a fun family-oriented fundraiser that helps us to fund the remaining goals of the school year. Without the funds from this event, we would be unable to finance teacher appreciation week before school ends or purchase the rewards for students for our next fundraiser.
We have some volunteers but would greatly appreciate some assistance with finishing touches before families arrive, helping to pass out roses & cupcakes, and help with the book fair in the library.

On Saturday February 29th, 2020, we are hosting our 5th annual Trivia Night Fundraiser. The funds raised from this event allow us to host fellowships for children and young adults. These fellowships are completely free to the public. Our Mission is to empower disadvantaged and disenfranchised individuals, families, seniors, and youth to take control of their destiny and function productively by providing them with necessary skills, training, motivation, and counseling services to become successful. These fellowships give us a chance to connect with our community to do just that.

enCourage Kids’ 35th Anniversary Gala is only a few months away! Our events would not be possible without our amazing volunteers. This exciting night is our biggest fundraising event of the year! It is an evening full of delicious food and drinks, as well as an inspiring message about enCourage Kids’ work.

Come help build our community with a fun Spring Carnival. We use our Carnival as our second largest fundraiser for the year. It helps support our Educational Programs as well as our Teacher Grants. We would love help collecting tickets for bounce house and other carnival fun and games. Face Painting more your thing? come help paint faces! We will need help setting up tables and games as well as taking it all down as well. Come volunteer with parents, teachers, and students.

Opportunity Details

We are in search of responsible volunteers to staff the concession stand during our 3 day State championship swim meet event starting on Friday evening, March 13th through Sunday evening March 15th. The swim meet draws in over 600 swimmers from YMCA's throughout the state of Indiana. Our swim team, the Michiana Stingrays, have won the state meet championship for the past 13 consecutive years. The volunteers will allow other willing parents to volunteer in other vital areas of the swim meet. Ideally we would prefer 4 volunteers per shift. All proceeds will be used to in an effort to upgrade the current swim meet software, Meet Manager.
