Unlocking the secret to timeless, graceful skin care is not a luxury reserved for the young. Through this event, we offer a wonderful way for CBN older adults to simultaneously learn about skin care and have fun by enjoying the chance to win in a game of skin care-themed trivia! Volunteers are welcome to collaborate and share a brief 20-minute presentation on skin care (ideally with some focus on older adult skin care), and then partake in an open Q&A. Additionally, there will be a trivia game of 10 skin care-themed questions that volunteers will prepare in advance to ask during the game.

Every round of trivia will consist of one winner, each of whom will win prizes donated from Colgate, such as skin or oral care products. In the spirit of good CBN sportsmanship, all senior participants will leave as winners, receiving a nominal Colgate product. Product donations are welcome for participants and at the discretion of Colgate for any products Colgate can generously provide for this event. Products may include, but are not limited to sunscreen, or other skin or oral care products. CBN will keep track of the names of the older adults that answer trivia questions correctly in order to properly distribute prizes.

After the presentation, there will be a socialization hour consisting of snacks and refreshments sponsored by Colgate’s generous $150 donation for this event.

The event will take place in-person (up to 10 Colgate volunteers max, 30 seniors expected to attend). All volunteers MUST attend a brief pre-event meeting (or view recording of it) on September 5th, 2024 at 3:30pm to go over house rules and any questions or concerns you may have in preparation for the 9/12 volunteer event. Please include your full name and e-mail address regarding your pre-event meeting and ‘Colgate Cares Day’ info. CBN will also record the pre-event meeting and can share it if you are unable to attend the pre-event but still want to participate in the Colgate Cares Day event.

*** Mask wearing is optional, but encouraged.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please do not hesitate to reach me at Morenoj@carterburdennetwork.org . We look forward to seeing you there!
