Opportunity Details

The Cupcake Classic is a 5k run/walk that incorporates sight, smell, sound, taste and touch into the overall experience and a celebration of cupcakes and ice cream at the finish line. Volunteers are needed to assist with sensory experiences on the course, hands on kids activities in the SENSEsational Spot, and with the Little Cakes kids fun run. All funds raised by this race go to provide critical early intervention services to babies, toddlers and preschoolers who are blind or visually impaired living in the 67 Central and Eastern Kentucky counties served by the VIPS Lexington office.

We need volunteers to help with getting dogs and puppies out into the community via public access to restaurants and any public outing. Getting the dogs acclimated to all environments. We need volunteers to hold and pet puppies. We need board members, help with business plan writing.

Jubilee Christmas is a special LUM program for families with children ages 12 and under.

Families who participate in Jubilee Christmas are invited to a host site and are able to select new toys for their children.

Families also receive some food items to make their Christmas dinner more special.

Opportunity Details

Large community event to benefit the Navy JROTC Cadets at Ashley High School. 100% of funds raised support their training. Many go in to enlist into the military.
The car show is expected to be a large community event. It’s free to spectators and a $25 donation to the booster club is suggested for car show entry. Activities around the car show include bands, vendors, raffles, yard sale, food trucks, etc
