Reading UP! is about sparking curiosity in young people, encouraging them to play & explore through reading, building their self confidence by reading aloud, and even teaching young people about consequences and & developing better decision making skills. We've been incredibly successful by going into classrooms and reading Pop-Up Books for grades PreK-3rd Grade and then Choose Your Own Adventure Books for 4th Grade up through Middle School.
We've been partnering with another Nonprofit, Children Read Atlanta, to provide books but their primary focus is children Aged 0-5.
Our focus for Reading UP! is Elementary School & Middle School for this Program.
It's been SHOCKINGLY Successful so our goal is provide books for the classrooms and kids to keep for themselves.
To do that, we need your help-- Please support our efforts by providing new & gently used books such as Pop Up Books (like the Wide Mouthed Frog or whatever other ones you enjoy), Mix-and-Match Board Books, Books by Robert Sabuda(Good for all ages), & Choose Your Own Adventure Books (bundles available at https://www.cyoa.com/collections/enchiladas ).
You can have them shipped to Volunteeroes at PO Box 466 Pendergrass, GA 30567.
We'll happily record our members reading and giving the books you donate to the classes and have them give a Thank You Video for the books you donate.
Thank you in advance for your time & consideration! :)
