America SCORES Milwaukee's "SCORES CUP" is a charity soccer tournament that hosts more 20+ companies throughout the Greater Milwaukee area. This even is a fun and active fundraiser, with proceeds supporting SCORES' afterschool and summer youth programs which include soccer, poetry, academics, and service learning. Operating within public schools and community centers in the city, SCORES programming is offered at no cost to youth and families.

Clownfish Swim Club is in need of regular volunteers to help succeed our program for the special need community we are serving.

Volunteers are key to our program in terms of :
-Giving positive encouragement/ positive feedback/ being cheerful to participants
-Helping swimmers with their needs during the practice -> engage/talk/have fun
-Keeping eyes on the pool for SAFETY
-Greeting Clownfish as they arrive - escort them to their lane/pool - starting the practice on time is very important
-Giving instructions - they are waiting instructions from us / they will wait to start unless we encourage them
-Assisting with running the practice plan
-Assisting with teaching techniques or give helpful advice (coaches will help you as well)

Opportunity Details

Over 500 volunteers are needed to package food to send to starving children around the world. During a 2 hour shift volunteers have the opportunity to package the raw food products into bags, supply food products to the packing tables, fill boxes with the packaged food, label food bags and prepare boxes for shipping. Our goal is to package over 100,000 meals so starving children around the world will have a nutritious meal.

uAspire is a national nonprofit that works to improve the economic mobility of underrepresented students by increasing access to financial aid and postsecondary pathways. Our singular focus is on college affordability and removing financial barriers so that every student has an equitable opportunity to attain a postsecondary degree without burdensome debt.

Scholarship support is a unique volunteering opportunity that matches students with scholarship opportunities. Volunteers create custom curated scholarship lists and assist with the writing sections in order to help students mitigate the costs of college. Resources and lists will be provided to assist in this search.

Spring volunteer session runs February 12, 2024 - April 19, 2024.

we have recently had a request from Children's Hope to request beanies for the babies in Mongolia. They said as being the second coldest country in the world, doctors recommend every baby to wear a knitted hat the minute they are born to maintain body heat much like the theory of NICU babies. They need a donation of 500-1,000 newborn sized hats so we are trying to collect this number from our members. As to date we have collected about 600 hats. We would need them to be mailed to our headquarters in Los Angeles by the week of March 11 as their container will be shipped out from US Port the week of March 25th. Apologetically they just recently reached out to us so the timeline is kind of tight. Our members will truly be "madly" knitting for this project. Any number of hats completed by our members will be so greatly appreciated.

Only thing is we also just received a message from Mongolia that the average Mongolian newborn babies heads are slightly bigger than the average baby, so they need the attached size. Please kindly see attached size.

A message from their organization to our members:
"I want your knitters to know how much impact one single hat will make for the babies in poverty here in Mongolia."

We are a dog rescue group in North Carolina rescuing from both NC and Mexico.
Our mission at the US Dog Coalition & Rescue is to improve the lives of street dogs in Mexico and the US through rescue, nourishment, and spay/neuter initiatives. Our 16th Annual Fight For Air Climb Milwaukee is back downtown in a new building, the 411 E. Wisconsin Center! As the largest stair climb in the country, we know that a strong volunteer team is and has been essential to our success. We would not be able to make it happen without you and hope you will be able to join us this year.

What will I be doing as a volunteer?
• We are searching for numerous volunteers willing and able to stand, greet and direct our climbers throughout the building.
• Seated positions are limited due to the venue
