Share HOPE with thousands of mini-Hope Heroes recently impacted by Hurricane Florence! The Happy Hope Factory is teaming up with United Way-North Carolina to deliver special Happy Hope Bags to children in the coastal Carolina communities affected by the recent storm. Teams are needed over the next four weeks to assemble, pack and ship up to 5,000 Happy Hope Bags. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble 24 Happy Hope Bags, and a prepaid UPS label will be included to ship completed boxes directly to the United Way’s distribution center. All boxes must be completed by October 19th. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for children in need of a boost of hope!

Share a smile with someone special! Join the Happy Hope Factory packaging "Happy Hope Bags" for hospitalized children in your community. Your team will be crafting, creating and assembling these super fun themed packages guaranteed to deliver a boost of hope and hours of activity for these special children during their hospital stay. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble the Hope Bags. A prepaid UPS label is also included to ship your donation to your local facility. If your team cannot complete the box within two weeks of your scheduled event please contact your hope box coordinator as children are awaiting your Hope Box donation. The Lace Up Community Fundraiser raises support for two causes.
Locally, we will support Royal Family Kids Camp Hartland (www.hartland.royalfamilykids.org), which is a summer camp for children in the fostercare system who have affected by abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
Globally, we partner with Orphan Outreach(www.orphanoutreach .com) to support the Jelgava City Orphanage in Jelgava, Latvia.

The freedom to walk, to talk, to run and play. To laugh, to hug. To eat. To breathe. Each day these freedoms are taken away from kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases that weaken muscle strength and limit mobility. Together, we can change that.

This year will mark the 7th Annual Night of Hope Gala to benefit MDA which will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13th at the beautiful Columbia Winery. We would like to invite you to be a part of this special event.

By supporting the Night of Hope Gala to benefit MDA you show your dedication to providing support, services and a sense of freedom and independence to more than 3,000 kids and adults affected by muscle disease in the
Washington and Alaska.

Night of Hope features an exciting live and silent auction. By supporting the Night of Hope as a volunteer you’ll be:
• Assisting kids and adults affected by one of the 43 neuromuscular diseases covered by the Association such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, and ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
• Aligning with an event that is a proven success. In 2017, the Night of Hope attracted a crowd of close to 200.

Opportunity Details

AAHR is in it's 10th year. The 7th grade class invites veterans from all over to come for a special breakfast and assembly at Deerlake Middle School to honor them and thank them for their service. After the breakfast and assembly, the kids participate in a patriotic day of games and assemble care packages with donated items for active duty military.
