Styles 4 Kidz provides children and families in the transracial adoptive and foster care communities with professional tips, tools, and a little TLC to make caring for African-American hair a FUN, not stressful, experience. The purpose of this activity is to create crafts that bring hope and fun to the life of the children and families we serve.

Opportunity Details

The Active 20-30 Club has held a few fundraisers this year and is grateful to be able to host 100 kids at our annual Back-To-School Preparation Spree! We are looking for 110 volunteers this year to help with the event. We need 100 volunteers to help with the kids and a few to help with face painting, check-in, and ancillary work. Volunteers need to show up by 7:30 and will be done around 11am.

This year we have teamed up with:

Dimensions Salon to provide free haircuts for the kids! @dimensionssalon

Dr Anna Griffith at Family Eye Care for free eye exams (and glasses if needed)!

The Chico Salvation Army to provide free breakfasts for kids/volunteers!

Michele Kahl from Upstate Hearing Instruments to provide free hearing screenings!

Northern Valley Indian Health to help provide free dental screenings!

Butte County Literacy Bus with some free books!

Valley Oaks Children's Services for free Backpacks stuffed with school supplies!

YOU to connect with the kids and help them shop at Kohls with our $100 gift card!
