Opportunity Details

The 5K Run for Everyone supports special needs programs at the Westfield Area YMCA. We are in need of volunteers the day of the event.

Initial proceeds of the run established the Dragonfly Program which offers physical, recreational and social programs for young adults with special needs for free or at minimal cost and enabled the Y to hire a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to oversee these programs and develop new ones. Last year's proceeds helped expand Dragonfly by offering a class for teens and supporting the Y's summer Inclusion Camp program for children with special needs entering grades K-6. This year's proceeds will continue to support Dragonfly and Inclusion Camp while helping launch additional new programs.
