Detroit City Football Club Downriver will be hosting its 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Taylor Meadows Golf Club. Celebrating with supporters, we anticipate this signature event will provide endless opportunities for kids to participate in youth soccer within Southeast Michigan. Funds raised will go towards building a foundation of excellence in skill development, instilling confidence and leadership qualities on and off the field and, most importantly, to lessen the burden of any financial constraints, so every kid has the opportunity to follow their dreams and play the game of soccer.

Since our inception in 1986, Detroit City Football Club Downriver has been dedicated to fostering the love of soccer and encouraging personal growth and development among our youth. As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, we proudly serve over 1,200 young players from southern Wayne County, and our Community Affiliates, Grosse Ile Soccer Club, Lincoln Park Soccer Club, Taylor Soccer Club and Woodhaven Brownstown Soccer Club. Our club is not just a place to play soccer though; it's a community where players find connection and belonging. It is our belief that everyone deserves a club they will never outgrow.

Every day, we are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their financial circumstances, has the opportunity to play the sport they love. That's why we established the Bernie Turner Foundation in 2022, providing financial assistance to families in need. Our goal is to make soccer accessible to all and to create a nurturing environment where athletes of all levels can grow athletically, mentally and as leaders.

At Sachin Sarcoma Society, we're on a mission to make a meaningful impact on the lives of cancer patients worldwide. To achieve this, we're excited to announce a groundbreaking initiative: the creation of a healthcare community platform that will serve as a beacon of support, knowledge, and empowerment for cancer patients and their caregivers across the globe.

What's the Vision?

Imagine a platform where patients facing various types of cancer can connect, share experiences, ask questions, and receive support from a global community. This platform will bring together individuals battling cancer, doctors, support groups, nurses, and experts. It will be a space where knowledge is freely exchanged, where a patient can belong to multiple communities related to their specific condition, and where valuable contributions are recognized and rewarded.

How Can You Help?

We are looking for passionate individuals with expertise in:

Front-end Development: If you have a knack for creating user-friendly interfaces and want to design an intuitive platform that users will love, we need your skills.

Back-end Development: If you're skilled in building the backbone of a secure and scalable platform, we invite you to be part of this transformative project.

Design: Creative minds with an eye for design can help craft an engaging and visually appealing user experience.

Marketing: To ensure this platform reaches and benefits as many people as possible, we need marketing experts to spread the word and attract both users and professionals.

What's In It for You?

Your contribution to this project will be invaluable. By helping us create this platform, you'll be part of something bigger—a global community dedicated to supporting cancer patients. You'll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of those facing cancer, and you'll earn rewards and badges that highlight your commitment and expertise.

Join Us in Making a Difference!

This is your opportunity to be a part of a project that has the potential to change lives. Together, we can create a one-stop solution for cancer patients worldwide, a place where they can find hope, knowledge, and support.

If you're passionate about using your skills for a meaningful cause and want to be part of this exciting journey, reach out to us today. Let's build a global community that empowers and uplifts those facing cancer. Together, we can make a significant impact.

Destiny Bound's "The Spirit of Giving- Turkey and Toys (T&T)" initiative has several interconnected goals and purposes aimed at benefiting families in marginalized communities.

Alleviating Economic Hardship: One of our primary goal is to alleviate economic hardship among families in marginalized communities. Providing free turkeys and toys during the holiday season can help ease the financial burden associated with holiday meals and gift-giving.
Fostering a Sense of Community: Initiatives like this can promote a sense of community by bringing people together to support one another. Community members may come together to donate items, volunteer their time, or collaborate in other ways.
Promoting Holiday Cheer: The holiday season is often associated with joy and celebration. Providing toys for children and holiday meals for families can help spread holiday cheer and ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can participate in the festivities.
Addressing Food Insecurity: In marginalized communities, food insecurity can be a significant issue. Distributing turkeys and other foods can address this concern, ensuring that families have enough to eat during the holiday season.
Supporting Children's Well-Being: Providing toys to children in these communities can have a positive impact on their emotional well-being. It can make the holidays special for them and reinforce the idea that their community cares about their happiness and development.
Empowering Families: By offering these resources, Destiny Bound can empower families to prioritize their well-being during the holiday season. This empowerment can extend beyond the event, encouraging families to seek out additional support and resources.
Raising Awareness: Such initiatives can also serve as a platform for raising awareness about the challenges faced by marginalized communities, including poverty and inequality. This can lead to increased support from the wider community.
Building Partnerships: Destiny Bound will continue to foster partnerships between local organizations, businesses, and government agencies. Collaboration is often essential in effectively serving marginalized communities, and these events can be a starting point for future partnerships.
Encouraging Volunteerism: By engaging volunteers in the process of organizing and distributing items, these initiatives can promote volunteerism and community engagement. Volunteers often find these experiences fulfilling and may continue to support charitable efforts in the long term.

In summary, the goals and purpose of Destiny Bound's initiative likely revolve around addressing the unique needs of families in marginalized communities during the holiday season, fostering a sense of community and helping our community members thrive.
