Opportunity Details

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is now in our 7th year of partnership with The Golf Warehouse (TGW). This year, we plan to have 38 teams join us (152 golfers) on Thursday, September 13 at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, KS. Golfers play 18 holes, receive lunch and dinner, an exceptional goodie bag and have the opportunity to play for incredible prizes. Golfers also get to have fun with raffle ticket prizes and bidding on tons of silent auction items. There are many ways to volunteer for this top-notch event so we hope you'll join us for not just a fun event, but also an event that is raising money to benefit MDA research and other services!

Opportunity Details

Volunteers needed to host rest stop along the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's CF Cycle for Life ride in the Edisto Beach area! This fun event will feature approximately 200 cyclists throughout the Lowcountry who will fundraise to support our mission to cure cystic fibrosis. Cyclists ride in distances of either 30, 60, or 100 miles, and we have the finish celebration at Bay Creek Park on Edisto Beach.

We primarily need groups of volunteers to help out at the rest stops along the route for the following tasks:

•Serving food and snacks to cyclists at rest stop along route
•Making sandwiches, portioning out trail mix, water, and other snacks
•Setting up and taking down table upon completion

Volunteers will be outside but will have a tent for shade and will be provided lunch and a t-shirt. Shifts are available if volunteer cannot attend the whole time. More details will be provided upon interest.

Please join us as we pledge our allegiance to disheartened children around the world.

Our #1 goal is to reach as many kids as possible. With this fundraiser we're strictly asking donors to make a per card donation (e.g. "we pledge to donate $1 for every quality card made during the event")! Therefore, each card made during the fundraiser will not only uplift the spirit of a child, but also help raise funds for kids in hospitals/homes around the world!
