Spring Reins of Life 501c3 is seeking volunteers on the weekends to help out on the farm. GENERAL Weekend Volunteer Hours are available on Saturdays from 11am-2pm.
Anyone is welcome to attend (under 13yo must be supervised by parent/guardian). It is a good way to try us out, also to garner service hours.

The core of Weekend Farm work is to help SRoL clean up after a weeks' worth of client sessions and to prepare for the upcoming week. Springtime and Fall are also project times to prepare for upcoming season and groups are welcome for these projects. Need a Horse Fix?

SRoL has some specific days of week and times where Horse/barn volunteers are needed. This is a steady commitment to a shift during the week (approx 3 hours) where we are involved in caring for the horses needs directly. Horse experience is appreciated yet not required. What is required is reliability, punctuality, respect, desire to reconnect with or experience the horse/human bond in your life. Serious inquiries contact SRoL directly for an interview time.


Also in the Spring and Fall we have a lot of farm projects that need support to get us through the Summer and Winter months.

We ask that all Farm Volunteers commit to doing one (1) shift per month and helping us with one of our annual events. We allow volunteers to take more than 1 shift per month once we both have determined a good fit. Scheduling is done via Doodle.com and you can email us for the current season scheduling link.



The farm is located in Central NJ in Three Bridges just off of SR202 between Flemington and Raritan. We do welcome those with horse experience. However, if you have never been around a horse before that is OK, we will teach / train. AND we are always grateful for skilled volunteers in many areas of expertise.

Seeking individuals that can commit to a minimum of 1 (one) shift per month on either SAT or SUN from 11am-2pm.*IF you would like to take on more than one shift per month that is permitted but we ask that you commit to that. We utilize Doodle to schedule volunteer shifts in 3 month increments.

Most of the farm volunteer duties will involve work outdoors. However, we have a number of indoor tasks to keep up with so we ask that you do show up to committed shifts even if weather is inclement. If weather is extreme or dangerous travel, shifts that day will be cancelled. Majority of the work involves maintaining horses environment (barn, stall cleaning, pasture maintenance).

Opportunity Details

Our annual Touch a Truck event is in need of day of volunteers. Volunteers will help in various places throughout the event. This could include the Kid Zone, Hospitality, and Parking. There will be multiple shifts throughout the event. Our volunteers are vital in making this event run smoothly. All proceeds from this event go directly to helping children with and with special needs.
