Opportunity Details

Volunteers will assist with checking in guests, sponsors and vendors at event. They will also assist with handing out door prizes to families and will help with the photo booth area. Dinner will be provided for all volunteers.

It’s through great volunteers that we’re able to support our firefighters and their fundraising efforts for the MDA. Middleton Fire Fighters will be near their fire station on 6/1/18: 2pm – 8pm and 6/2/18: 8am - 8pm. We will be providing food for all firefighters AND volunteers FREE of charge as well as a t-shirt! We can be flexible if volunteers cannot stay the whole day or would rather take shifts.

The MDA is a non-profit organization leading the fight to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life. We use our collective strength to help kids and adults live longer and grow stronger by finding research breakthroughs across diseases, caring for individuals from day one and empowering families with services and support in hometowns across America. The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) pledged to support MDA until a cure was found in 1954 and they have held true and strong in their commitment over these 64 years.

Opportunity Details

Each July Gathering on the Green (GOG) transforms a local park into a multi-concert venue. It takes over 150 volunteers working over 7 days to transform the park, work the multi-day event, and then take it down and clean up the park.

Our July concert has become our largest fundraising event. Funds raised support the organization's Music Together and scholarship programs. For over 25 years volunteers have made this experience possible for the community and the organization. Music Together connects music industry professionals to community partners to offer programs in Workforce Development (career opportunities in the music and entertainment business), Master Musician Classes, Music Therapy, and provides funding for scholarships to students pursuing degrees in Music Education, STEM fields, and the Performing Arts. The July event also fulfills our mission: Bridging Communities Through Music, bringing diverse communities together in a multi-generation audience to experience the power and joy of music.

There is a Volunteer Orientation Meeting on Tuesday, July 5th at 6:00PM at Mequon Rotary Park inside the Reuter Pavilion. Please enter the park through the EAST entrance and park near Reuter Pavilion.
