The DC Dine to Defeat ALS gala will be at The Mayflower Hotel and host over 300 guests. All funds raised from this event will go to help those living with ALS in DC, MD, and VA

Open Door provides high quality, person driven services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in order to promote independence, growth and an exceptional quality of life for our clients. Our golf outing is an annual fundraiser and ALL proceeds benefit our clients who are low income. Fundraising efforts enable our clients to purchase necessities such as tolietries. Donations help pay for haircuts, transportation and even activities such as cooking classes, concerts and seeing sporting events. Volunteers are needed to sell raffle tickets and man registeration tables, help at game holes with activities planned on the course, greet golfers and guests, sell 50/50 tickets, help service our dinner after the golf outing and with event clean-up.

Opportunity Details

The Subaru Color 5K is a fundraiser for Special Olympics hosted at Subaru of Indiana Automotive. With over 600 participants last year, having Kohl's Cares in Lafayette help stuff the "swag bags" in 2015 was a huge burden off of our shoulders as we organize the event. Bags will be sorted by tshirt size.

Preparing the bags is to place a tshirt, fandana, and other items in an event bag. All items will be provided by SIA.

Over The Edge is an event to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region. We invite the community to make a BIG difference this year by supporting Over The Edge!

Participants (Edgers) will rappel down Market Square Plaza, which is 18 floors, down onto 2nd Street on October 19th. "Edgers" will experience a new adventure like never before! "Edgers" are raising $1,000 individually for children facing adversity to receive a caring mentor to bring life-changing, positive impact.
