We have opportunities available to assist with animal care, our thrift shop, building and grounds maintenance and improvement, work with our website or social media sites, and much more. We can accommodate flexible schedules, provide training and support, and in return - we offer the unconditional love that is only available from our grateful rescued animals! Stover Animal Rescue is organized and maintained completely by volunteers, and without any governmental funding. We serve and rehabilitate abandoned and homeless animals (cats and dogs) in our local community and the surrounding counties as we have space and volunteer labor to provide quality care and improve the lives of needy animals. Every year suicide claims more lives than war, murder, and natural disasters combined, and yet suicide prevention doesn't get anywhere near the funding given to other leading causes of death. It's up to Walkers like us to make a difference. Together we can change the conversation about mental health and put a stop to this tragic loss of life.
Community members in Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding area will be holding a community walk on Sept. 9, 2018. Volunteers are needed to help us the day of the event. Volunteers are needed for setup/breakdown, registration, walker activity tables, VIP lounge, rose memorial area, rest stops, etc.

Opportunity Details

ALTSO is looking for volunteer support in four main areas:
- GLOW -- our on-site campaign that lets supporters donate at 5 different price points, each of which supports an ALTSO-specific treatment (prosthetic limb, wheelchair, etc); in return, donors get a glow stick to wear that corresponds to that price point
- Registration -- checking in our general admission, VIP guests, and band members
- Silent auction -- promoting silent auction & helping guests register & bid
- Setup -- help prepare venue on day of event (from about ~10:00am - 5:00pm)

Comfort in handling technology (ipads, tablets etc) preferred. All volunteers will receive a brief training call.



ALTSO’s ‘Rocktoberfest’ events in New York City and Chicago have, for 15 years, gathered more than 2,000 supporters annually for what are recognised as amongst the most unique series of philanthropic events in the alternative investment industry.

ALTSO is delighted to return to the UK in June 2018 to launch ‘Rocktoberfest-London’, providing a platform for the London hedge fund and private equity communities to connect for a night of live rock & roll entertainment, featuring bands whose performers come directly from the finance industry, to raise money for a great cause.

ALTSO’s inaugural Rocktoberfest-London will celebrate the organisation’s mission of providing the physical capabilities to access opportunities earned through education, work and mobility to children with limb disabilities in the developing world.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas will be hosting an enchanting evening at the Traditions Club in Bryan Texas for the 3rd Annual Starlight Affair on June 23, 2018. Guests will be greeted with signature cocktails, live music and an array of activities to support Brazos Valley children and families who rely on Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. A fabulous silent auction featuring a wide selection of items and a high-spirited live auction will be the highlights of this starry night celebration.

This event would not be possible without the support of our incredible community volunteers from across the Brazos Valley. Volunteers will be asked to help with decorations, auction set up, assisting chefs at the event, or volunteering at other stations during the event. Opportunity Details

Veteran's PATH enables returning veterans to rediscover meaning, purpose, and joy in their lives through mindfulness, meditation, and a safe community. Already working to transform the lives of veterans in California and Tennessee, Veteran's PATH is launching programs in Colorado in 2018.
Our organization is hosting an awareness/fundraising event at a private home in Boulder in order to engage the community in our work. This event is is critically important as we launch our programs for veterans who choose a holistic path for healing and hope. The event and our ability to launch programming in Colorado is also important because our work is unique in terms of offering programs for women as well as all veterans regardless of discharge status.
We would like to work with Kohl's to engage five volunteers to help with event set-up, greeting and registering guests, help during the event by refilling food trays, and help take down after the event. We expect approximately 40 persons at this event.

The Southern Oregon Out of the Darkness Walk is organized by the local volunteers of the Oregon Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The event draws close to 500 attendees and we need nearly 30 volunteers total to make the event run smoothly. This is an uplifting, hope-filled, yet emotional event, so we are seeking 5-10 Kohl's volunteers to help with the event in 2018. Volunteer opportunities to choose from include working event set-up, attendee registration, event activity tables, route assistance, signage assistance, and more.
